College life at its best

It is a dream college for many students across Maharashtra and that is enough I guess for you all to know its own pride. You will enjoy the best days of your life here if you are lucky enough to get admission.

College has some international or IIT standard course curriculum and is pretty different from other colleges. Books you will need here will be somewhat different from other colleges books that come under University. But this is advantage of an autonomous college. What you learn is good.

COEP is known for its cream placement and no exception here. In my branch, they have 98% successful placements and so is continuing now too. If you want good placement and it is your no.1 priority, just get admission in this college and study hard for 4 years, you will be placed in an above average company.

Mindspark : It is basically a tech fest and has much more other extra curricular activities to do and holds up other competition in college campus itself. It is for those who need tech fest along with cool night parties and other stuff. You will enjoy it. It is scheduled in last week of September. Impressions : It is a glamorous fest and it is all about culture and fashion when students wear traditional dress and all. It is scheduled in month of December. You can see various dance and other stuff going on in college auditorium and can enjoy it with friends. Zest : It is a sports fest where various sports are being played by students from other college as well as COEP. It is scheduled in month of January or February. Regatta : It is a boating / rowing event which is a traditional event in COEP because of its well known boat club. Many students take part in this event and give make it big and worth watching. It is scheduled in month of March.

Fees structure is totally feasible because it is a government college and for general category, fees is nearly INR 81000. It decreases if you are from reserved category. Every year, fees changes accordingly and you can check it out in a notification on its official website.

MAHA DBT scholarship is for students who are from category excluding general and other private scholarships are also available for students in general category and they can opt for it, but it is distributed according to merit.

Labs and other sports activities are good. If you have any hobby, 99% of time, COEP has a special club for it. Let it be robotics, history, GK, etc. Sports section is also good in college because we have dedicated space for dedicated sports.

Alumni are very helpful and work on some non governmental development projects for college too. They guide us whenever we meet them and sometimes if we are lucky, we get some textbooks from them for free. They are really helpful.

I got admission through MHT CET which a state entrance exam for Engg. colleges. After I secured marks which were enough for me to get seat in college, I applied for admission and then my seat was confirmed. All this is post exam process. First you need to study hard to get rank and be eligible for a seat in this college.

Don't expect much from faculty, here faculty is friendly but only 30% teachers teach good and rest are like you need to attend lectures and then study from scratch after you reach home. This is what I think, you may find it other way too.
