Remarks

The college is good. The study is cheap and high quality. Students are getting so many facility to learn and to display their talents. Students are getting placed. But the syllabus is tough. Many students are dropping out.

Course is good. Engineering is one of the best course. The course duration is 4 years. 8 semesters are there. Each sem there will be about 6 papers and minimum of 2 workshops. The syllabus is wide and tough. Exams are tough.

Placement Experience

The college provides campus interviews. Some of the students are placed in various companies. The talented students are getting placed. The college doesn't offer 100% placement. The college helps us to do internships.

The college conducts some events. There are various clubs. Nss and ieee. The college conduct arts day. College celebrates many events like onam Christmas. Students get chances to display their talents. There is also sports events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college is under control of government. Thus government pays most of our fees. The basic fee is below 10000 per annual. For poor Childrens there is less fee. Various scholarships are provided to students.

The college provide various scholarships. The main scholarship is e grants. E grants helps poor students to get the fee amount back. And for backward students the hostel fee and monthly expense is also given as scholarship.

College has many extracurricular activities. Mainly there are sports events. For sports like cricket football vollyball basketball there is college team. There are many labs in the college for students.

There is alumini network in this college. The former students helps the students financially. And they fund for the growth of the college. Senior students helps academically the students. The alumni network is active.

Admission

Write keam exam. On the basis of keam rank alloted in this college. The admission process is based on rank. Rank is calculated by plus two mark and keam mark. Join the college using allotment memo and documents.

Faculty

Faculty are the best. Each department is handled by professional staffs. There are many departments. There are many faculties helps students their best. Faculties are doing their best to the growth of the institution.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.
