My CET

The campus covers the entire Techno-Campus plot and is surrounded by the training school of forest rangers and Bhubaneswar Drinking Water Supply Project Water Storage. A portion of a hill also falls within the campus. Mo Bus no. 28[9] connects the college to most of the places within the city. There are playgrounds for cricket and football and courts for basketball, badminton, volleyball and tennis, and a gym. The students' square at the centre of the academic blocks has a stage facility. There are a Syndicate Bank branch and a BSNL telecom tower on campus. The campus must be maintained properly.

The course curriculum is designed by the College administration itself and a separate body is formed to decide the curriculum and the syllabus and exam pattern. Basically the exam system per semester includes one mid sem exam of weightage 20 percent and then there are assignment,quiz and projects for 10 percent weightage and finally there is an end semester exam of 70 percent weightage.

The placement in the college is not the best bit it's a kind of better than an average. Some core companies do visit the college for recruitment process but most of the placement are in the case of the mass recruiters.

There is no such huge pool of events but the major include extasy the cultural fest perception the literary fest, Yantrotsav the fest of mechanical engineering and much more but most of the events are not funded properly as most of the development fund are scammed in a very wierd manner.

The fee structure is decent and very less as compared to the other state government colleges of other states. The total yearly fee is somewhat near to Rs 40,000 for regular course and Rs 75,000 for the SSP course.

Most students of CETB receive some form of scholarship. Many are beneficiaries of the CAFAS scholarship scheme which provides INR 10,000 annually. The top 10% students of the batch are awarded CET merit scholarship of INR 400 per month. There are also the Alumni scholarship and FFE scholarship worth INR 25,000, and other merit-cum-need scholarships. There are also several scholarships like Prerna Scholarship the SC & ST development department of state government (INR 25,000- INR 50,000) and scholarships the district administration.

Yes, they are helpful, the alumni network is very large and it is very strong as compared to other govt college in Odisha. They are in constant touch with the Training and Placement cell of the college for conducting the recruitment drive.

OJEE counselling by Odisha govt which is a web based counselling on the basis of JEE score. First of all one needs to enroll himself or herself in the web based counselling portal of Odisha govt and then after the subsequent rounds of choice filling and seat allotment round one gets seat in this college after the final allotment.

The professors of various departments are highly qualified and have a deep sense of knowledge. The rest of the faculties are even good but there is an exception in case of the faculties appointed on the basis of the quota system they are not upto the mark and lack the basic teaching skills.
