Mining is the one of the old course which was started in the iit kharagpur in the 1956. The course Curriculum of the mining is very practical here and also tough at very deep and higher level. In every there have two semester each of 4 month semester. and each semester have Mid semester and End semester examination. Around 30 - 40 % syllabus cover till the mid semester and remain would for the post mid semester.

The job opportunities in our college are very well. every year more than 70-80% percent of students got placed in the first phase of the placement within 13-15 days in December. and the ratio of students for internships is also very good. the on an average package of our college around 10-15 lakh per annum. Even also the job scenario for the non-core branches are very good.

MCM scholarship which is provided by the institute for the 15% top academic performing students(For the General and OBC students.). The scholarship amount is around one lakh and two thousand rupees. and also SBI provides loans to the student with an interest rate of 9-10% per annum.

Through the JEE - Advanced and the candidates will have to satisfy at least one of the following two criteria for admission to IIT-Kharagpur. The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with an aggregate of at least 75% marks. For SC/ ST and PwD candidates, there is a relaxation of 10% as they need the aggregate of minimum 65% marks.
