Average college

College is overall 3 out of 5 star. If you just want a degree and do regular coirse you can join it but course of MDU is much easy then KURUKSHETRA University. People around us were telling that KIMT is much better.

Course curriculum is according to rhe the university it is affiliated to - Kurukshetra University. B. Tech is 4 year course. 8 semesters. If you are not able to pass in a subject, you can reappear in next to next semester for that exam. E.g for the subjects of Ist semester you can appear in 3rd, 5th, 7th semesters. Syllabus for Kurukshetra University is tough comparing to MDU and Guru Jambheshwar University.

College do not provide any internship or training. We had to do it ourself. Almost no placement and no placement assistance. I took training myself in JSPL and few frnds didn’t got chance to do training. Cllg didn’t helped anybody for training. SC/BC Stipend is directly being deposited in students account now. In our time it was a struggle.

In our time there were only annual functions. There was a blood donation camp organised by college studens. They once took us to delhi and we saw Delhi CM there. But now they are making more events in college and college is much better now.

Fee structure is expensive. It is expensive in both cases whether you take admission from online counselling Or by management quota. Bus Fee is separate. Sometimes they want fee for other purposes like for using Internet.

College is not offering any kind of loan or scholarship. You will have to ake loan from bank by yourself. And college will approve that you are studying there. College didn’t conducted any scholarship exams or schemes.

There are ample no. Of sports and extra curricular activities being carried out. You will get opportunities to show ur talent and get recognised. College keeps bringing Artists to college for performance. Computer Labs and Mechanical workshops are good. Canteen is not good. There is a big green lawn to sit there.

Hostel infrastructure is okay. There are triple sharing rooms without AC. Please check if they have AC rooms now. Bed sheets were not provided. Gadda is made of foam, poor quality. Food is okay. Girls hostel is near boys hostel. They comes out in evening.

Alumnus people might not be in touch with college. If you go to college fan on Facebook you may find many okd students there. They can help you with reviews and guidance. They can guide you better as they are working in various companies and colleges now.

I gave entrance exam for AIEEEE and got all india rank 2,64,000. After that went on website ( tech edu haryana) for counselling and got selected for college- SIMT Rewari. I didn’t took admissioim SIMT and choosed to do online counselling again because I didn’t liked infrastructure of that college and Rewari city was too backward that time. In second counselling,This time I was given college TERII and I took admission here. I am from first batch of thia college which started in 2007. College was under construction that time. We didn’t had enough books in library. We were promised Air Conditioner in Lecture Halls but they showed us AC for 2 weeks and removed it after that and never put it again. We didn’t had hostel and we were kept in Dharamshala (Krishna Dham). We didn’t had curtains in classrooms. They were taking extra fee for using Computers in Lab, extra fee for uniform, college bus service. Later in final year they took bus fee for final semester even if somebody don’t want to opt for it. They were putting fine for various purposes. Annual functions were carried out in pandals. But now situation in college is much better. Teachers are supporting. Labs are good. But still it is only an below average college to study and enjoy your precious youth. Don’t expect placement. My frnds were given placement in BPOs customer service from this college. You will find two major communities im college - Jat and Ror, keeps fighting.

Faculty is frank and interactive with students. Like every other college few Lectures are good few are not. Few will give you good internal marks few will not. Make sure you attend classes regularly because you can’t reappear for internal marks. If you get less or no marks in internal it will be very difficult to pass in that subject as you will need 60 marks in theory if you have zero internal marks. Getting 60 in all subjects are almost not possible in Kurukshetra University.
