Remarks

There is a lot of scope for improvement, especially where laboratory equipment and materials are concerned. The college also needs to provide better guidance to GPAT aspirants hoping to pursue an M.Pharm. There should also be more opportunities for internships and training, as well as campus placements. Social media and online presence could be more on par with current trends.

Placement Experience

3

As I already said I am a first year student so I don't have enough idea about it but I have seen various posters of companies for placements in our campus. I have seen various adds like from LUPIN, GSK, CIPLA, SUN PHARMA, MANKIND, GLENMARK, etc which I think are very good companies. Since I am a 1st year student so I have not a strong idea about it. But I have seen many notice board related to placements from various countries and internships it provides.

College Events

3.5

Our college has a very good open space and is quite big one. Every year various sports events are held. Both indoor and outdoor events like cricket, football, table tennis, chess ,etc. Winners are awarded with price and trophies. Every year there is a fresher's party for the 1st year students. Rest fest is also held twice a year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fee structure for B.Pharm (officially) is 445000 if the entry is through any entrance exam. I think it is quite expensive because at the same place other colleges are taking comparatively less money than this college, but as it is NAAC accredited college, so that's why I think they are taking more.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides various scholarships according to the quality of the students. I have heard from seniors that our college provides scholarship. But i have not applied for any scholarship right now.

Campus Life

3

Our college has a very good open space and is quite big one. Every year various sports events are held. Both indoor and outdoor events like cricket, football, table tennis, chess ,etc. Our lab rooms are also very good and clean. Every year there is a fresher's party for the 1st year students. Rest fest is also held twice a year.

Alumni/Alumna

It is a ragging free campus, hence the elder student cannot do anything then also don't do anything they are very helpful they only helped me to follow which books needed in the subject. The college has a sound alumni network, with its members working in various fields of pharmacy and who are available for providing an unbiased opinion to the students regarding their careers.

Admission

I’m from West Bengal. I got admission in this college by giving the exam WBJEE. It was conducted in May. And the counselling process was completed in July. After obtaining a rank in the exam I have to generate a username and password and will have to pay the registration fee. This registration fee will be non-refundable, which is around 500. After registration I have to fill my choices online through the website. After declaration of round 1 result a candidate will be left with 3 choices. 1- accept the seat and take admission in the allocated seat. 2- consider the candidate for up-gradation to higher filled choices. 3- surrender the seat and pull out yourself from the counselling procedure. Then I have to report to the reporting center within the specified period of time and will have to submit my choices failing to do so in round 1 will automatically remove me from further consideration and I will loose my seat. For choices 1 & 2, I have to pay seat acceptance fee which will be returned in further rounds if I opt for choice 3( but will have to report to the reporting center, otherwise the candidate will not be able to claim it). This procedure will be repeated for three rounds and extra rounds can be introduced if the counselling team feels the necessity of it. In last round I will be forced to either accept the allocated seat or surrender my seat. Thus my admission process was completed.

Faculty

Very good and helpful teachers every subject is taught by two different teachers. Most are M.Pharm qualified and some are also PhD holders. Ours maths teacher is from IIT Kanpur. He is just awesome in teaching. Rest all are also good and responsible. Some teachers are very strict but good.
