An university: an escape

I need to mention about the campus, cleanest of all with lush green area. The campus is beautiful in many other sense. Till today i haven't seen such a beautiful campus. For me the campus itself is a good escape from any kind of frustrations or hectic schedule.

Course curriculum is very much updated with newly added subjects and courses. Exams are held as test 1 (25marks), mid term(40 marks),test 3( 25 marks, assignment), end term(60 marks). All the other tests except test 3 is written examination.

Placements doesn't flush by out here but many well graded companies approach every year. Very last year oil india ltd, wipro , emami, came and recruited student with a decent package. Yes, our college privides internship which is duly added to the university website. I haven't done an internship in my university but as per I know stipend may or may not be provided.

Events celebrated are: 1) annual meet (inter hostel cultural cum sports competition held every year by February where one can see the enthusiasm of every student with their participation, with a cultural night at the end of the meet) 2) spring fest (many students perform by evening of march/april) 3) techxetra (annual event from B tech students but it has been stopped temporarily due to some consequences) There are many other events which are celebrated round the year where one can either showcase their talents or can gain some from others.

Fee structure is very feasible. Tuition fees for b tech and mba is somewhat high but for other departments it is very feasible. For b tech it's at around 25000 per semester excluding the mess dues. For other departments it's around 20000 per semester.

Ishan uday is provided by central government to every student who are financially backward. Other scholarships are : ongc scholarship for sc and st students Scholarship for meritorious master's or PhD students.

Extracurricular activities are taken very good care of. We've very high end lushy green field for football and cricket, courts for basketball, tennis, volleyball, badminton (indoor) with floodlights. Unifest or AIU is held every year where one can show their talents at national level in various grounds. We've separate clubs for literature, drama, dance etc. Labs are very updated with very expensive machines and instruments. In other words there are many hi tech labs out here in the campus.

We have 7 men's hostel and 8 women's hostel in total. Hostel facilities are very good with just a meagre hostel dues of around 1500 per month. Hostels are installed with Wi-Fi network, coolers , indoor and outdoor sports, washing machines(with a handler), canteen in every hostel etc. It's a pleasent stay in the campus hostel with strict regulations against any kind of ragging.

Alumni network is strong enough in all over india and even outside india working in various hi tech companies or govt based workers. Being a senior (3rd year) , i am confident about at least one thing that seniors out here are very friendly and approaching and will leave no stones unturned to make their juniors capable enough to do something good which they wish for.

I got admission through JEE mains result. It is how one can seek admission for b tech. For other courses, entrance examination is held separately i.e. TUEE. There is reservation for backward sections and even direct admission for state board toppers.

Faculties are approachable with every doubts and queries as it is a closed campus and everyone stays inside a same boundary.since it's a central university every professor is highly qualified with at least a PhD degree.
