The government gives money but the money is not utilized well. The open space is soo big maintenance is poor. THIS IS A COMPLETE RAGGING FREE COLLEGE, I feel so proud to say that. As an Engineering College, many would wonder to see that.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is updated every year. We are under ASSAM SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY (ASTU). The curriculum is the same as Nits and college out of Assam. it has 8 semesters and 40+ theory subjects in total.
Placement Experience
Placement is descent. Oil, ONGC, cognizant, concept education, Zaloni, Zoomcar, Tata motors have taken students from Here. Some of them have cracked Japan's human recursuia company's competition so they are getting a job offer from them also. The stipend varies minimum of 3 LPA to a max of 20 LPA.
College Events
All events are celebrated. Actually, it gives us very much confidence to say that. We have been organizing international events like yoga day, women's day, etc, and Diwali is centrally celebrated. The local celebration also competitions on youth festival etc is organized.
Fee Structure And Facilities
We give 10000 at admission. That's all for the 1st sem, the exam fee varies from 1000 to 2000, traveling expenses somewhere is high. cause to come to jorhat , bus and train both are quite expensive for 2 way travel. And after 1st semester, less than 10000 for whole the semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
Ishan Uday is most common. other than that AICTE scholarships, TEQIP funds, and scholarships. MLA scholarship and one scholarship are given by OIL Assam LTD. Other than that, many national-level scholarship students can apply for. Must say College verification is so fast.
Campus Life
Everything, the college offers a gym, tennis ground, 9 fields for open sport, Table tennis, carrom and much more. Not labs but workshop is a part of course. We have carpentry, welding, machine, blacksmithy, sheet metal, modeling.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni association is very helpful. In fact, many-core machines are donated by alumni. we find some of they are working as IAS,IPS. some are engineers in ONGC, NRL, OIL, TATA MOTORS. Even google twice taken software engineer from here. Union body conducts meetings with seniors and they are soo friendly and talk times are organized.
Admission
I have cracked CEE, 2018. If you get above 1200 rank in the OBC quota you can take admission differently for other castes. but you must maintain a good mark in CEE, say 130+. There is a reservation for local students but almost all are locals so doesn't affect much.
Faculty
They are so well disciplined. So friendly and helpful. Also, they are very strict when it comes to marking. Educational qualification is so high, most of them are alumni of top IITs, NITs. The core processors are Ph.D. holders. and we see MTECH from IITs as assistant professors.
