Culture vibes are there they care about your culture
They help to grow students like some students are week in a subject they motivate

There class timings some time because it's started from 7 AM
Product based company they don't provide
Hostel is very old and darty some time need to renovation

Course Curriculum Overview

There placement opportunities or they follow IIT syllabus you will get opportunity to learn machine learning here,practical session is very low need to improve ,every year minimum exam 7 is there..they need to focus more in practical session

From 6th sem .,top MNC like TCS, cognizant, Capgemini byjus as per selection they provide Highest 8LPA Percentage of getting placement 30% My plan is joining mnc company If I get chance or else I will do higher studies

Fees and Financial Aid

One of the best college of Assam.. admission fees yearly 30000 k hostel fees 2000 permonth scholarship you will get upto 75k depends upon your cast , placement provided average package of 3LPA,lab fees included ..as it's Govt College compare to other colleges fees is very minimum

Campus Life

They having technical fest name different all the time yes central library are there student can go and take book as per there choice for sports our college is not that much good but yes for study it is very good..yes students run photography group technical group

Hostel Facilities

Locali jorhat hostel facility good ..fees 5000 at the time of joining per month 2000 plus food is very good morning poori or after noon rice ,dal or sabji ,salad or along with that in dinner egg,fish, chicken provided

Admission

I applied this college only and luckily got....for getting this college you need to appear exam called CEE I got 2nd rank in this exam and got selected in this college cutting off is very high as this top college of assam

Faculty

I like one of my maths teacher ...she simplifying everything that's the reason I like..and one of the teacher from outside of Assam don't like very slow motion teacher..don't know how to teach and ratio is like 5:4 you can say...exam pattern like 3 sessional and final or fail % 20 everytime

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIT Guwahati are excellent especially in the tech field ,with high placement rates and strong average packages generally Rs 30 lakh per annum. Top companies regularly visit the campus. After completing the course if i do not get placed on campus which is hardly possible i'll look for other off campus placements.

A calm and disciplined campus life at JIST

Course Curriculum Overview:

Most of the professors are good here.The college covers the core subjects required for strong foundation in engineering. However the theoretical coverage is good the scope for practical exposure is still required.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

Placement Experience:

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

ASSAM UNIVERSITY SILCHAR , THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY

Placement Experience:

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education

5 or 6 semester onwards students are eligible for internships in off campus . They can opt for PPO. There are severe companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, Flipkart, and some top MNCs . overall campus is perfect to spend 4 years

Charmingly Challenging Champion

Placement Experience:

After the 6th sem placement season starts. The intern season takes place at the end of the 4th sem. The placement of the college is extremely good. The average package of the college is around 21 lakhs. That of CSE is 41 lakhs. Mncs is 35 lakhs etc. Projected package of my branch DSAI is 40 lakhs.
