My College

The location of the college is not soo good. It is kind of a boring place and therefore we are stuck almost all the time in the histels. The college focus more on attendence and studies. It is the students who take up initiatives for other exrra curicullar activities.

KTU curriculum is a really outdated curriculum. The latest technologies or the latest or updated things are not being taught and more of the old and outdated topics wuich are not even required for our future or the future job we do is not present. As of the exam structure there is 2 series exams held in the xollege with assignments which totals up our sessionals and a semester exam is held towards the end of the semester by the university.

There is a high number of placements and job oppurtunities in the college. Internships have to be done from outside but the college supports the students to go oit and do it. The CGPU Cell takes care of the placements and more than 100 companies come up.

Most of the festivals are celebrated in the college. Other than the regular festivals, MUN's, Tech fests, Cultural fests, Sports fest, Film and Drama club programmes, Literary Club programmes, HESTIA etc.

For the students entering in the merit seats and those entering in the PIO sears its kind of affordable but for those entering in the NRI quota, it is too expensibe for them. They have to pay almost more than double of that of a PIO student.

The college provides scholarships for students who face issues with money. Loan facility is not present in the college. Many scholarships arw provided by the college as well as the university and other platforms too.

The sports part include cricket, basketball, football, handball, badminton, table tennis, chess etc. There are labs present for all branches.

There are multiple hostels, normal hostels, international students hostel, separste hostels for boys and girls. In the normal hostels 4-5 students stay in a room with common toilets for the whole block. In internatiom hostels 2 students stay in a room with attached toilets.

The senior students help us a lot by conducting workshops and making oir studies more focussed on the advanced technologies and they give us ideas and mentor us with other skillset. The alumni network of the college also helps us with internship oppurtunities and fundings for the programmes and projects from the college.

I got into the college in the PIO(People of Indian Origin) Quota. They reviewed my marks of PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY & MATHEMATICS. There was a fee paid which included the fees for all the four years and all the examination fees and other necessary funds.

The faculty of the college is highly qualified but some of them do not know to explain the topics in an easy manner to the students even though they all are higjly qualified. They are supportive in all other matter.
