My college

The college is one of the best in the state for studying as well as for the extracurricular activities. The college has a 52 acre of campus which is used by students for building the friendship and all.

The course curriculum is excellent. As a engineer, the syllabus is more than enough. Exam structures are a bit complex. We need more than 22.5 marks in internal exams for qualifying to write the sem exams. If didn’t score that much mark, we need to attend in the summer class. If we don’t score even 18 marks, then we need to repeat the course. We need 45% marks in sem exam to pass.

The placement and job opportunities are more on our college. Some big companies like infosys and ibm do comes in the college for campus placements. Almost more than 50 students get job through campus placements every year.

When talking about events, our college is one of the college which has more events in a calendar year. I will list out a few of them here. Union inauguration- it is a one day program for inaugurating the newly elected college union. Inter college techfest- a techfest in which many students from outside the college also participate. Special days celebration- our college will have celebration in special days like onam , eid, Christmas, vishu , traditional day , valentines day and more

The fee structure is some what feasible. Tuition fee is 35000 and 65000 annually for merit and management students respectively. When comparing to government colleges, it is too expensive. But it is lower than many other colleges out there.

There is no scholarship offered by the college other than a small amount of money given to top ranked 3 or 5 students every year. But the government gives large amount of scholarships to almost every student which is very handy.

The extracurricular activities are excellent.infact, it is better than the curriculum. The college has team in almost every sports such as cricket, soccer, badminton,volleyball,handball,chess and more. Sports is conducted every year with the participation of each and every students.

Hostel infrastructure is worse for 1st and 2nd year students (boys).the food are not tasty and the rooms and toilets are not that clean. For 3rd and 4th year students, it is adjustable since they have another hostel.

The alumni have a great attachment towards the college even after many years. Also the seniors are very helpful.they take care of us just like little brothers and helps us whenever it is required. Seniors evens helps in external needs.

First, i wrote the kerala entrance examination , in which i got enough mark for qualifying the exam. After that, i gave names of many colleges in the order of my preferences. When the allotment result came, i got admission in LBSCEK,kasaragod.

When looking at the faculties, some are very good, whereas some are not upto the mark. Some of them lack dedication. Infact, some doesn’t even knows how to properly control the students. But some teachers are excellent. Infact, some of them are role models for some students.
