Remarks
I think if you need to enjoy a good college life , i prefer u to adopt another college .Because the college is lottle bit strict about academics more than extracurricular activites. The college is spread in about 25 achers so that there is a small difficulty to walk around it.
Course Curriculum Overview
I'am an ongoing Mechanical engineering student in total we have 46 courses(5 optional) along with 15 labs in 8 semesters (4 years). We have exams at the end of each semesters. Each exam is for 100 marks(written) along with 50 internal marks and 45 marks is the pass mark in written exams. Lab exam are conducted within college and internally valued. Nb: Currently there are some changes in curriculam for new 1st year students.
Placement Experience
For a mechanical engineer campus placement oppurtunities are limited in kerala, But several IT companies like TCs, IBM, Sperdians,etc come in our college for recruiting mechanical engineers for Other office works. Several Marketing job opportunities and placements also take place in our college. No ,our college don't provide technical internships.
College Events
Illuminaniti is our intercollege arts festival, also we have colloquim tech fest ,these to are our intercollege fest. Other celebrations are strictly for ongoing students like arts festival, demo day, sent off, college sports day.etc
Fee Structure And Facilities
4 years back when i got admission fees structure are littlebit expensive ,i have to pay ?50000 as tuition fees but now I think fees get reduced to ? 15000- ?25000 for merit students , For managment seat the expense may vary according to availability.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes.My college offers fees scholarship/deduction for students who secured above 90% in higher secondry exams and who have good KEAM score (below 10000). There are also some scholarship given to SC/ST category students but they are given by goverment
Campus Life
They are fair and satisfactory. Our college have a stong Enterpenure Development cell ,very active National service Scheme volunteers. Our college has a nice multiutility indoor stadium, but other games activities are not so much encouraged.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes. We have an Mcet-Alumi association. They sponser for various insfrastructure development and extracurricular activities, Every pass out students are members of this association. When we enroll into this instituition they charge us for enrolling into this association.
Admission
I attented KEAM entrance exam 2016 ,got approx 13500 rank in it. when I choose the options for the college allotment , Due to some mistake I finally get alloted in Mohandas College of Engineering and technolgy in merit seat (our university - KTU)
Faculty
Faculties are very friendly ,supportive and caring. Most of our faculties are M.Tech ,Masters holders from top most universities of our country. So they are capable of clearing doughts about every matters.
