Review on the academic and extracurricular activities of my college

Positive :Good efficient and friendly facilities and college staff, Good atmosphere and nature friendly campus,Buses cover almost all main routes, Good labs. Negative : Mishap management and their negative attitude toward students.

Average course curriculum. There are two series exams and retests for eligible students. College follows the University guidelines for number of hours and working days. Lecturers follow the University syllabus as such.

The placement and job opportunities are very poor. Very few companies directly come to the campus for recruitment. Most students get placements by attending recruitment drives held in other colleges which is notified by the cgpc cell in the college. The college has direct tie ups with companies like south park motors, Allianz, and speridian.

There are very few events celebrated in the college. Namely arts day freshers day which is conducted on the same day. The next comes the college cultural fest illuminati which is conducted on odd semester and literary fest Colloquium which is conducted on the even semester.

Expensive. The management imposes heavy fees on management seats ans nri seats. The fee structure makes no sense. Every year special fees is remitted for store,labs, and workshops which is unscientific. Moreover extra fees is confiscated in terms of dues and fines without proper consultation.

The college gives extended period for payment of fees if the director sanctions it. College offers scholarships to the topper in each semesters. A cash amount is given to the topper of each branch in each semester.

Not sufficient support from the college towards extracurricular activities like sports dance arts etc. A few years before the college had a well-known dance team and was prominent among the best dance teams in kerala.But the college organises labs and cgpc sessions for final year students. Students are not allowed not stayback and play in their ground after class hours without prior notice which is absolutely rubbish.

Average hostel facilities, Average infrastructure, Average food and on the whole average rating for hostel facilities. There is specific study period every day for all students. Wardens follow strict guidelines given to them.

Yes they are helpful, alumni network is good in organising meet ups and gathering. Seniors still stay in touch. College organises alumni get togethers every year for graduated students. Alumni is free to enter the campus and meet the facilities.

I got merit seat in Amaljyothi college of engineering, kottayam. But due to personal reasons i was unable to join that college. So k was forced to take up management seat in this college by my parents.

Faculties are the main positive of the college. Lectures are friendly and sincere. They are ready to help the students whenever possible. Students have good relationship with the money teaching staff too. Staff advisors help students in all activities and academics.
