I took Kerala common engineering exam and got 1094 rank out of many thousands of students who took the exam. The main reason for me to select this college was that this college is half management and half government which means. It has the efficiency of a management college and the perks of a government college. Fees are reasonable for merit student. And this college is unquestionably regarded as the 2nd best college in the state. And with my rank I could get mechanical engineering only here.

The course curriculum. Frankly saying. It's outdated. Well for the theoretical part its good but there is no knowledge gaining experience embedded into the curriculum. For example. The CAD or computer aided design course which is very basis for any mechanical engineer is only tought in late 3rd year. And there is no provision for internship in the curriculum. In an era where internship makes an engineering student stand out from the rest of lakhs of engineers. It's surely a loss.

Actually. There is no internship for us under the Kerala university scheme of 2013. We should arrange internship and even industrial visit ourselves. With little or no help from the college.

There is a specialised placement cell which undertakes all the matters regarding placement. Campus placements is undergoing vigorously with not only IT companies like Infosys,TCS but also core companies lyk Mu sigma,MRF Qburst etc coming for campus recruitment.

RITH Urithu is a cultural and managerial fest which is conducted in the odd sem of the year. It's normally a 3 day program. Colleges from all over kerala participate in it. All the 3 days in the evening there are cultural programs. On the final day evening a pro show will be conducted where professional singers and music bands perform TEZORO,Tezoro is a techo managerial fest conducted in the even sem of the year. It's also a 3 day event with lots of competitions. Apart from these 2, a galaxy of other events are conducted by clubs like music club,dance club,drama club,littereary club and association like IEEE and institution of engineers.

This college houses both management quota students and merit students for management quota students they should deposit a certain amount of donation before joining the college. For merit seat student the fees is as determines by the government which for me amounts only to about Rs 10000 a year which is also the fees for management quota students yes this college provides good education at fairly reasonable fees.

Scholarship of various kinds are provided by the college under the authorisation by government fees reduction for SC,ST AND OBC categories. Mess bill refund for the toppers in each class. And college also promotes various government scholarships such as MOMA and central sector scholarships. There is no loan facilities that I know of.

The campus life. That's the one thing I actually enjoy the most. Something which we enjoy is the freedom which we get in our campus and in hostel. Although it's limited. But compared to other colleges in the states. It's heaven. The gender ratio is favouring men with mostly 70:100. Ratio. Yearly once hostel parties are conducted in every hostel. Workshops on various technical and managerial topics are conducted in campus by associations like IEEE and also IEDC in the campus there are student from all over kerala and also students from NEPAL,Arunachal Pradesh,lakshadweep,Andaman and nicobar islands. Religion about 50% students are muslims and rest belong to hindus and christians. Politics this college has a union called TECHNOS TKMCE. It's affiliated to the SFI which is student division of communist party. College elections are held every year to select members to various post in the union.

The hostel facilities are actually very good. There are 3 boys hostel. One for 1st year boys and the other two for all other years. There are also 3 girls hostel. One for 1st years and and rest for other years.Usually there is 4 in mates in a room. The av

This college has a very good alumni association. Alumni meetings are held regularly and some interactive sessions are also held. Some generous alumni also donate money for the development of the college. Senior student help the juniors in many ways. In many departments like electronics and communication department the seniors organize workshops and seminar for juniors on the topics like rasberry pic,robotics etc. In general college seniors remain destant at first but once u get to know them. They may even be your best friends and mentors. Fair warning. For first years a small dose of ragging is to be expected.

In engineering each subject is for 150 marks. 100 marks from University exams and 50 marks from internal assessment ir sessional mark. Final exams are conducted by the kerala university. In between two university exam we usually get a day gap. Apart from

Faculty in college is great all teaching staff hold atlest a M.tech degree and there are a lot of Ph.D holders among the teaching staff itself. The faculty conduct classes regularly and sincerely.
