Less distraction, but on the same side we also have less Places like other big cities to enjoy. But we have many societies and clubs to make the most of our time and enjoy in our free time. We call hostels as Hall and the hall culture is unmatched , we live like family and the bonding is just magical.

The course curriculum is pretty old and inflexible. It needs some major changes. Making it more flexible will help students to take subjects fr other branches as well which will make their 4 or 5 year stay enjoyable and worthy.

The placements procedure is really good. Many companies come and give job offers. Almost all the students get placed from all the departments but what I want to suggest is that our placement coordinators should try to bring same number of opportunities for internships and try to bring some more core driven companies as in IIT Bombay or Delhi.

The events are spring fest and Kshitij the main fests in which many students more than 50000 come from various parts of our country mainly form Orissa and West Bengal. Also in our college we have many departmental fests for example prakriti by agricultural department and megalith by mining department.

The fees structure was renewed some time back, it is feasible for either there parents earn at least 10 lakhs per year because we have 2 lakhs as just turion fees plus other charges makes it around 280000 per year and than we other expenses as well.

There are many types of departmental scholarships which make the way easy for the ones who are not much economically sound, also our college provides scholarship to SC/ST students and the ones whose parents have income below 5 lakhs per annum

The extracurricular activities are pretty good, we have large grounds to play cricket, football, hockey or any other field game. Also have indoor games facilites. We also have have inter hall general Championship competitions among the hostels for cultural, tech and sports.

Yes I have opted for hostel, the infrastructure is good but needs some modifications in the coming years and quality of food varies very much as per hostel because food quality also depends on the budget which varies according to the fund received from the hall alumnis

The alumni network is really good, we have a good support from the alumni's they donate a huge for the betterment of their respective hostels and kgp. One of our alums Mr. Vinod Gupta has even opened a law and MBA school in our campus.

Through jee, first you have to qualify for her advance by passing cut off marks for jee mains and coming in top 20 percentile of your high school board exams or score above 75 percent in the same. To get admission into IIT Kharagpur as a general student you have to get an AIR under 11000.

below average as per teaching quality and research quality both. There are some teachers who are really good in both or at least in one but there are some of them who neither know to teach neither they do any significant research work
