Review of my College

The college is so strict that you have to take permission from the respected people to grant leave or leave the college during class hours.Sometimes the college does seem to make you remember the school days.But overall they try you to promote your character and make you become a better personality.

The Course Curriculum consists of 46 Theoretical papers,15 Lab exams,1 Course Viva exam and 4 projects(1 Main project,2 Design projects,1 Mini project).The Curriculum should actually emphasize more on practical knowledge and experiments rather wasting time on theoretical papers.The skill should be considered to be the prime factor of this course. There are 8 semesters and has 2 internal assessment exams each for every subject except lab subjects.The main exam is conducted based on your performance in the internal examination.You need to score 45% or more in each subject to attend the final exam of that corresponding subject.

There are only limited number of opportunities to get placed in a company.Some of the reputed MNC's conduct a pool drive at our college that allows our students also to attend.Not much companies come here to take the students as a whole.The college does not provide any internship.All they provide are workshops (Regular and Hand-ons).

Onam is celebrated in our college.The class is suspended for one day to celebrate Onam.The college also conducts Arts day and Sports Day which altogether constitute of 3 working days.They also conduct College day which is only half day celebration.

The fee structure is bit expensive when compared to the other Engineering Colleges in Kerala.The fee structure is Rs.80,000/- Per year and a additional Rs.1,00,000/- as refundable deposit at the beginning of your admission.There is also a caution deposit of Rs.10,000/- for the entire duration.

The college will allow you to pay your college fee by availing the education loan provided by the Government and the Banks.There is also Merit-Cum-Means scholarship and Management scholarships for students who are good in their studies and are from backward section.

The labs are decent enough to perform well.They have been used for external exams as well.There is a beautiful football ground which is a grass court.There are 2 basketball courts and volleyball courts.There are 2 badminton courts in the indoor stadium as well.The College has been participating in the games and sports conducted in and outside the college.

No I have not opted the hostel facilities.But from what I know the hostel infrastructure is pretty good and clean.The surroundings are clean and neat.The mess and the food provided are tasty and healthy.

Every student who had been a part of the college is still a part.Every student who had passed out had joined the Alumni and do attend the functions held by the Alumnis.They do form a good network and they help others who are still pursuing to grow and rectify their mistakes.

I got admission in the management quota.There are 3 types of admissions in my college. 1.Merit admission based on KEAM entrance examination. 2.Management admission based on your higher secondary school marks and your qualification of KEAM entrance exam. 3.NRI admission for NRI students as well as students having less marks or not qualified in KEAM entrance exam.

Some of the faculties are well trained and skilled.They are good in making you understand the required topics based on the real world scenario.They are friendly,open and are ready to clarify our doubts.The rest of them are Freshers and less experienced ones.Even some of the experienced finds it difficult to teach and make us understand their topics.They are under skilled and does not have any teaching skills with them.
