AKSHAY C's Review On Government Engineering College Wayanad, Mananthavady

Positive: The place where the college is situated is a heaven lu place in the beautiful district Wayanad. The beauty of nature and cool place is just awesome. Negetive: Only the place is beautiful. College academic is poor, facilities are poor, just a college. Always politucal strikes, no classes. No other enjoyments.

It is a good course for a better future, jobs, or other. But only if you have passes every subjects with great marks. Otherwise choosing this engineering course will spoil your four or five years and this spoils the whole life.

Placements and job opportunities are comparatively lesser in this college than any other government engineering colleges.Even though a few companies comes here for hiring good graduate. There are no providings of internships.There is no time to study well here atleast.

There are no much events celebrated here.This college is full of dirty politics.Here the most of the days, classes are suspended due to strikes by political parties. So students are not even getting enough time to study well. As during any events the political fight takes place there will be no much events to celebrate.

There are many kinds of scholarships provided by government. Most of the students prefers this scholarship. Its criteria i think is the family annual income should be less than six lakhs. There are other scholarships also government and private, including Siemens scholarship.

Labs are average. Just that. Facilities are lesser. Small buildings. Less equipments. Just the function can be done, that's all. Sports is very poor. A small ground. Also half of the ground was gone in land slides. So sports is almost nil.

The hostel there is nice. Good atmosphere, Good facilities. But only a few students could occupy there. There is only one boys and one girls hostel. So most of the students should stay somewhere else outside the campus as paying guests , or rent homes.

I have studied my Higher secondary course in Science stream after my tenth class study. I have score around 90 percentage in higher secondary examination. After that I wrote the Kerala Engineering and Medical Entrance examination. And got a rank around ten thousand. I have applied for the Mechanical engineering course in Many college including Government and Aided Engineering colleges. And after allotments I got admission in Government Engineering college Mananthavady, wayanad. Gone there with all my documents and got admission there.

I am very disappointed with the faculties of this college. A very few faculties there are good ofcourse. But the remaining are just spoiling the students life and career.Many of them plays politicians role also inside.
