Remarks

It does not provide the atmosphere to enjoy college. It feels like a school ehyere the students are forced to study and do certain things. The emphasis on discipline often backfires as even for getting a small thing done one needs to undergo several procedures. The worst being the pink slip, which is to be signed by different people like advisor, HOD, Principal, Bursar etc. who might be in different places so the student has to run around with the form to get it signed inorder to officially process his/her request.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is the same as all the other colleges under APJ Abdul Kalam kerala Technological University which is a new University amd suffers from poor administrative decisions. The exam structure is as follows. There are two internal series exams and one University External exam for each subjects. There are about 8 subjects in each semesters and there are 8 semesters in total.

Placement Experience

3

If you have above average marks, then you have a high chance of getting placed but the companies who come for placements are just average ones. Infosys is the mass recruiter and over a hundred students get placed there. Byju's, Qburst, InApp, etc are the other companies who conduct placement drive in our college. The package of all placements are close to 3 lakhs per annum. The college provides placement training and assistance (you have to pay for it) and the training is really useful.

College Events

3.5

Our inter-college fest Crossroads is the most important event. It is a techno-cultural festival with a footfall of over 10,000 students from across the state. Several workshops are also organised as part of activities organised by socities like IEEE, ISTE, ASME etc They are all very active. NSS also organises several events. There are various cultural clubs and sports teams which promotes and cultivates extra curricular talents in the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is the same as all other private colleges jn Kerala. About 75,000 per sem. It is relatively expensive. Rank holders in the entrance exam, children of defense forces and those with reservations can get fee waivers and scholarships.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee waivers for students within rank 1000 in KEAM entrance exam. Scholarships for children of defense personnel and scholarships for backward communities like SC, ST and OBC. The exact amount and details is unknown to me.

Campus Life

4

There are various cultural clubs and sports teams which promotes and cultivates extra curricular talents in the students. Our college has one of the best dance crew in any college in the country - BBOIZ.

Alumni/Alumna

They are helpful and the Alumni is very active in college activities. They help with placements, helps to organise events, etc. Even in the arab countries, the college alumni are active and organises meetings.

Admission

I got a rank of 9994 in KEAM 2015, Kerala's Engineering entrance exam. We could give preference of colleges. In my first allotment I got this college and that too my desired branch - mechanical. So I joined.

Faculty

4

The faculty is knowledgeable and decent. The only issue is that they are strict and adamant and there is not enough freedom. It feels more like a college than a school. Mechanical Branch has comparatively the best faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance. The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies. The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.
