Disciplined College life

Being very strict, there are no cases of ragging or mis behaviour or mental trauma. Negative remark still remains from the students that we have to wear uniform in the college,75% attendance is compulsory. And there is monopoly of the canteen/mess owner since decades which hasn't changed.

The course of this college is based on SPPU syllabus ( Savitribai Phule Pune University, formerly University of Pune). The engineering course is of total 4 years for any engineering stream. The first year subjects are common for all the 4 streams, and the remaining are stream specific. There are 2 exams per semester. And 5 subjects per semester. The online exams are 20 marks and written for 100 marks. Practicals included. You need to pass each subject with 40% to pass the exam.

The placements for IT related jobs are very good, they ensure total mass recruitments of students in IT companies. Mechanical department still has to suffer though. The college allows internships and can get internship through the same recruitment processes. Stipends vary from around 5000 to 30000.

SOLARIUM- solar vehicle buildings competition TECHLIGENT- various technical events. KPIT SPARKLE - various techncal events and exhibitions SWARTARANG- cultural program.

Fee structure is expensive for the underprivileged students belonging to general category. The fees has to be paid at once every year which is around 1 lakh. Students belonging to minority have to pay 4 digit fee which is extremely feasilble.

College does not provide any scholarship, it's the government that provides scholarship under EBC scheme, that you need to qualify by proving your yearly income less than 8lpa. Othet scholarships include the privilege for minority students who get paid to get education.

There are a lot of extracurricular activities going on in the college, students from mechanical stream have about 5 different options to choose from. Supra, baja, tifan , robocon or solarium. You can appear for NPTEL courses as well.

Alumini network is not a thing in this college, all you have is personal contacts if you evee wanted to contact your senior students. Any senior will readily help you with any academics related and placement related things.

You need to fill out the form DTE webiste - www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in (Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, India) . And write your preferences of college in the form, the college is alloted to students on merit basis.

The college is proud of the their very disciplined and sophisticated environment around the campus. The rules are strictly followed. The faculties are very punctual and take teaching quite seriously. However remain friendly enough with the students. Corrective actions are taken on students and faculties who misbehave.
