Everything is going fine here. Except some of the medical conditions. As the campus is situated at a mangrove area there are many mosquitoes and other diseases like scabies which will be easily caught up.

It is a professional training institute which contains professional courses like BSc Nautical science. It's a 3 year course,which contains 6 semester. And every end of each semester,exams are conducted.

The placements are good. Many shipping companies comes here for campus interviews like FML,MOL. Placement starts from 4th semester of the course. And we can get placements from out of campus also. It is done by various steps from various companies like exams, interview,.

We celebrete some of the events but at a moderate way. Every festivals are not celebrated. Events like: Diwali,Dussehra,Holi,. Are celebrated in an average way as officers does. There will be various competitions also like sports and arts.

The fee structure is expensive even though it is a government University. For every year the fee to be paid by the students is 2,25000:- For one semester the fee is 1,00,000 And every year an additional program fee of 25,000. At the time of admission fee of 1 st semester mist be paid in full and an additional 20,000 as caution deposit.

The university offers an academical scholarship which is very helpful for the cadets. Because most of them are claimed education loan to study at this amount of fee. The scholarship award money is as follows:- 1. 1,00,000 2. 75,000 3. 25,000

Extracurricular activities have good role in this college. As many sports competitions are held like: Football, cricket, table tennis, badminton, chess, basketball, volleyball There are athletic games too like: 10 km marathon, etc. Then there are many lab facilities like: Computer lab, physics lab, fire fighting station, workshop, ship operation technology lab, etc.

It is a residential course. Every students must reside in the hostel. There are 2 hostels,named: 1. Old hostel - for 2nd year and 3rd year cadets 2. New hostel - for 1st year and Full girl cadets The hostel is good and properly maintained. Every room there will be a maximum of 3 cadets or less with individual beds . And each wing of the hostel has separate bathrooms.

Everyone are very helpful here . Especially the seniors. There are no ragging issues as anti ragging form is filled by students at the time of admission. Seniors teaches the junior cadets how to behave and all.

I registered for the IMU CET exam. Payed the registration fee. Selected the nearest exam centre. Then i wrote the entrance exam. Some days later results came and i was qualified. Then i paid the counselling fee and selected my course options. And then my allotment came and i payed the fee for confirming my admission. At last at the date of joining i went there and payed the full fee for 1st semester and started my class

Faculties are very fine people with good teaching skills.Most of them are respected persons who are retired captians from Merchant Navy and Indian Navy with lots of experiences. And there are some others such as visiting faculties
