Best college for mechanical engineering's Extra curriculum activities

College is Good with very good number of placements. Our college is well known for campus placements. Nearly 60-70 % students get placed in various companies. This percentage is good when you concider current market situation of mechanical engineer.

I'm doing Mechanical engineering in SPPU ( college university). All exams are conducted by SPPU (Savitribai Phule Pune University). In first year of engineering, in any brach syllabus is common for all. From second year, syllabus is only based on course that we have chosen before ( syllabus based on mechanical things in my case). Mechanical engineering is good course which is known as mother branch of all engineering branches.

Our college is well known for campus placements. Nearly 60-70 % students get placed in various companies. This percentage is good when you concider current market situation of mechanical engineer. My college doesn't provide any internships but allow and support us to do internships outside the college. Instead college provide funds for extra curriculum activities like SAE BAJA, SUPRA, TIFFAN, Solar electric vehicle, Robotics teams. Involving in such teams gives exposure to the real mechanical knowledge.

1) Swartarang is a good annual cultural program conducted by students. 2) Autoprecocity -An event conducted by SAE BAJA students from college. In this event, Overview of automobile is given to students. 3) Mechanical Engineering Student Association (MESA) of college Organizes many events.

Current fee for Open category students is around 1.3 lakh which is feasible after getting scholarship (EBC). EBC - Scholarship provided by gov. for students having family income less than 8 lakh. For other categories fee is very less relative to a general open category student.

Scholarships provided by university not from college. College just give funds if you are doing some extra activities. Also there are many scholarships for poor students. ' learn and earn ' scheme is provided by college for needy students.

College supports many extra curriculum activities. Involving in such teams gives exposure to the real mechanical knowledge. Teams from college are at top in their respective fields. Teams from PCCOE - 1) Team red baron 2) Team kratos racing 3) Team Solarium 4) Team Automatons 5) Team Ambush

College Hostel good, well maintained and secure. College security level at day and night is so good. There are two hostels in college. New college hostel is very good relative to old one. Rent for living and food is around 73k for whole year which we have to pay in one time. Food quality provided by college for hostel students is ok.

Seniors are really helpful in all way they can be. Placed seniors come in college to guide freash students and give idea of actual market condition for better placements. SAE BAJA, SUPRA, TIFFAN, Solar electric vehicle, Robotics teams are continued just because of seniors and their support. Involving in such teams gives exposure to the real mechanical knowledge.

I got admitted by giving the comman entrance test (MHT-CET) conducted by Maha-DBT. After selection, all admission process is done by college. I paid college fees by Demand draft during admission process at my college. Admission process was so easy and not irritating at all. On same day I got admission in hostel. Hostel service of college is on 'first come, first serve' basis. Hostel rooms are quite good and food is ok.

Most of faculties are very good in teaching. They support extra curriculum activities at their level. But some are really not good. But overall feedback for teachers is very good for this college. Some faculties are really so talented and have many patents.
