Remarks

During my acedemic career,college infra was good with parking space and a small gardern. But now not there.

Entrance Preview

I took CET. Opted for B.Sc.IT. Because wanted to pursue career in Software. Good faculty and good knowledge provided by the faculty,with praticals as well. Had IV industrial visit as well to chennai goa and hyderabad.

Internships Opportunities

No Stipend as it was a NAC Non Aided Course. Companies like Accenture,Wipro,Ugam,Infosys.

Placement Experience

Companies like Accenture,Wipro,Ugam,Infosys,Capegemini,Jp Morgan stanley came with a good offer. Initial offer on 3L per annum.

College Events

All festivals and annual events used to be celebrated very well in the college premises. College used to arrange for freshers party for all freshers for each year. Then annual day had lot of events and activity including dance,fashion show,games.

Fee Structure And Facilities

feasible as its a non Aided course,fees was as per government standard. No extra was charged. For rechecking have to pay extra.

No idea about the scholarship program. As i have not availed any. And as per my knowledge. Non Aided course don't have scholarship program.

Did not have hostel facility in the college. Canteen was great with good food ambience space.

Ragging is banned in this college. Never heards of such incident in my acedemic carrier in this college.

Exam Structure

Exam were little thoughs and the lab were great. Proper ventilation in the lab with good infrastructure. Neatly maintained Computers in the lab.

Faculty

Faculty was good,Faculty was co operative. Facultiy was talented. Faculty has good knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

The Campus Story : the lands of horror.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.

My Experience and Views of Patkar-Varde College

I applied to DG Ruparel but did not get in due to the cut-off being higher there as they only offer 30 seats. I applied to Patkar because the exam structure makes it a holistic application-based course. However, in other colleges 100 marks written exams are compulsory.
