U.I.T. Review

The environment of college is very warm and cheerful. The staff is helpful . The authorities are helpful. The process of tackling a problem is bit slow. The campus is large and provides a homelike environment.

The course is divided into 4 years program which is divided in 2 sems per year. In total there are 8 sems. In each sem there is a mid sem exam of 20 marks and a end sem exam of 70 marks the remaining 10 marks are based on attendance.

The placement is average. Few MNCs come for on-site placement like TCS, Smart Eye, Cognizant etc. And there is also an option for off-campus placements. Many of the students got placed in different companies.

There are a variety of of cultural and technical events organized in the college. Many of these events are like freshers party, Saraswati puja celebration, Vishkarma puja celebration, Teachers day celebration, technical fest and cultural fest.

The fee structure is the main advantage of this college. The total fee for the course is approximately 2.5 lakhs for the complete course. The hostel fee is also very less i.e 6000 per semester. This is as it is partially govt. Funded. It is very feasible.

There is a facility for tuition fee waiver for financially weak students. And there are many scholarship provided by the state government on the basis of colleges which can be availed. College also gives loan facility from selected banks.

There are many extracurricular activities organised by the college and student groups. The National youth parliament is one of the major activities. Then there is also inter college sports meet. And also there is annual sports meet. There are debate , painting and photography competition organised.

Yes, the alumni network is very strong and very helpful. They help the students who don't get placed by helping them by arranging interview for them. Even they help the students by guiding them how to get placed and what to do to get placed.

Admission is only through wbjee score. Wbjee is the entrance exam for engineering conducted by west bengal state. To get admission u must get rank under 10000. This is a semi govt. Once ranks are out there is a college allotment process where u will be allocated college based on your preference and obtained rank.

The faculty is mixture of m.tech students and highly qualified professionals. Few of the techers are phd. Doctrates. And many are M.tech qualified. The M.Tech students are teaching as guest faculty like in other colleges.
