Remarks
As an overall base the college is decent enough in the state of West Bengal and it is a highly recommended college to join.It is the second top private college of West Bengal and getting into is tough as the rank barrier is quite high.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is well at par with the industry but you may still find traces of obsoleteness as the government has not fully revised the traditional education system in engineering.Moreover you get ample time and help from college faculties to explore areas of your strength
Placement Experience
The job opportunities are not that great however in this scenario of joblessness you would be lucky to land with a substandard job.Many software companies visit here and even tech giants like IBM come here so it provides offcampus for other colleges of West Bengal as well.So you may know that getting a job is a surety but the quality is not too good.You may manage somewhere an average package of 4 lacs per annum.But the college does not provide any internships.You have to get an internship from outside and the college may give approval in this regard.
College Events
Several events like cultural and annual tech fests are held to keep you engrossed throughout the year.Many workshops are conducted too for advanced learning.You would get enough of the college life and would also be able to hone your hidden talents.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is very minimal as of the rising inflation in the market.The four years fee gets completed below 4 lacs and you would be able to save a hell lot of your parents money.It's too feasible as compared to other colleges.
Fees and Financial Aid
No I don't know of any scholarship as provided by the college however students can avail scholarships from their state governments.Students from different states can easily manage to cover a major portion of their fees as the state government gives enough scholarship and the fees is low enough.
Campus Life
They are not very good as a part of daily routine however the events organised annually touch skyrocketed levels.The labs are a bit obsolete however some equipments are maintained and is sufficient to perform basic stuff.The infrastructure is not of a very good standard.
Hostel Facilities
No I have not opted for a hostel.some of my friends who are inside hostel say that the room is spacious and there are well facilitated space for a room to accommodate students .the bathroom is common and is maintained properly with less issues.The mess food however is not upto the mark
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is good and they are quite helpful in guiding the students however the problem is most alumnus don't promptly recognise themselves as students of Heritage.The reason is unknown.However those who turn up are very helpful.
Admission
I had secured a rank of 6723 in my Wbjee exam and I was interested in coding so I decided to pursue IT in this college as this is a reputed private college in West Bengal.I got into it in second round of counselling
Faculty
I had mixed opinions but upon joining I found that faculties were decent enough.Well you would obviously find some professors who are just for the sake of taking classes but there are a bunch of other ones who are quite engaging and would help you with your difficulties
