Awesome College Days

Everybody says my college was the best, now i understood why because they never witnessed other college life, i was really lucky to get such a good college with such good firends,the staff, the management, our seniors, the events, the sports we played etc

I gave CET exam in 2012, but due to financial problems i did not take admission in any engineering college, after that i joined KJ Somaiya college and i got the admission easily as my hsc % was good

Syllabus wise our Mumbai University is far behind other universities because what we learn in T.y here, other university people study in S.y and that is one of the reason why students from Mumbai University cannot survive higher studies out of Mumbai.

We didnt have internship but we had campus placements, when i was in ty Infosys had come in our college for campus placement, they offered us a salary of 18500 in hand. Their interview procedure were:- Aptitude test and Personal Interview

As i mentioned above Infosys had come for campus placement for our field.There wer other companies like Wipro, I Gate, TCS who had also come but they wanted comp science people, the package range for each of these companies were between 19000-25000 and almost 80% people were placed in these companies

We had celebrated many events like Utkarsh, then Vigyaan Yagya, Statsxplo, Udaan, Independence Day Championship etc. Colleges from all over Mumbai had participated. The judges for some of them were from TIFR, IIT, etc.

The fee structure of our college was on a higher sideWhere other colleges used to pay around 7000 for ty, we people used to pay almost 12000, double their amount, but cant help, we had to pay

Loan facilities are provided by banks if you are a deserving student but i dont know any scholarships that are being given.But every year the student who tops gets certain amout of money

Hostels was good as informed by our seniors. There were many facilities like Wifi, TV, etc in hostels Regarding food we had four canteens in our campus and the food in all the four canteens was mindblowing, although it was on a bit expensive side, but the

College seniors were always useful specially in notes, whenever we used to ask them for notes they were always helpful, doubts and all they were not so available as they had their job as well

Exam structure was really pathetic, Whole year almost every week v either used to give one class test, or class assignment or practical test, after this is over our Internals used to start and after that gets over Sem end exams used to start and passing i

Faculty wise i was very lucky to have studied under the guidance of such professors. They were really very helpful and available anytime to solve your queries
