Remarks

The principal of the college is very strict and because if her, a lot of evebts tha could have been organised had to let go. Also canteen food needs an urgent update in both quality and menu. Girls hostel should be made so as to provide equal facility to girls.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Doing this course from this particular college really enables you to stand out. The placements are excellent and the package offered is way more than any other college. The curriculum is extensive and more focus is given on the practical aspect of learning.

Internships Opportunities

Theee is a separate internship cell than acts as a medium between companies and students. It provides up with mew internship opportunities and knowledge and insights to become more capable. There are a lot of internship opportunities provided by the cell overall.

Placement Experience

4.5

There are ample placement opportunities provided to all the students across various courses. The packages offered are one of the best. Various companies like Bain, BCG and all the big 4 come on campus to recruit students. Packages can go as high as 14 lacs (by Bain) but the average remains around 3-4 lacs pa. There is a separate portal where all the information about the placement process is provided.

College Events

5

The major event that takes place in the college is its annual cultural fest- Confluence. This takes place in the month of march every year and goes on for about 3-4 days. All the socities conduct their fests during this time and it it the best part of the whole year for everyone. There are dj nights, star nights standups all combined with stalls of all kinds.

Fee Structure And Facilities

One if the best perks of studying in this college is the fee structure. The fees is about 17-18 k annually for this particular course. That’s less than 10k per semester which is basically very feasible. There are scolorship options for economically backward group.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees being very feasible, there are very limited scholorship that are available. Still students can take up with the office and upon falling in the required eligible criteria, scholorships are provided to students.

Campus Life

4

One of the best. The labs have every possible instrument and are open fo students even after college hours. The badminton team, basketball team and the football team all have won many chanpionships. There is also various societies for different types of dancing styles. The singing society is one of the best in DU.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There is a boys hostel in the campus itself but currently there is no girls hostel of our college. However, DU hostels are available outside the college which can be accessed by all the students. The hostel provides with all of the basic facilities with surprisingly good mess and tasty food. There is no provision of air conditioning in the hostel. The annual fees for hostel comes at around 70-80k which is still bery feasible as compared to rates outside campus.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni of hansraj all all over the place. From entertainment industry to corporate and even politics, we have created a niche for ourselves. The alumni are very helpful and they can be relied upon in times of need. There is aslo a general alumni meet at regular intervals.

Exam Structure

There are generally 4-5 subjects per semesters and in 6 semesters, one has to study about 26-28 subjects. There are two components of exam i.e Internals (comprising of 25%) and externals (75%). The internals are of 25 marks each and the external paper is if 75 marks (generally). The standard 3 hour exam is conducted at the end of semesters and the result comes out as sgpa for every semester. The average of sgpa of 2 semesters is taken as the cgpa for the whole year.

Admission

The admission was simple on the basis of cutoff of 12th percentage. The best 4 subjects were chosen and upon falling in the relevant cutoff list, documentation was done and admission was granted. After the announcement of cutoff date, 2-3 days are scheduled for the complete documentation process which is done on campus and is. completed in about 3-4 hours.

Faculty

4

The another advantage this college has is the faculty members. A bunch of highly experienced faculty members providing quality education makes it the best combination. The bemefit of all this comes to light in times of exams or placements which gives the studens an extra edge.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
