Great Place

This is one of the best place in the country for the students pursuing Engineering, Science, Arts stream. The best University in the state having a great infrastructure and faculties. It is one of the institution in India listed for institute of eminence.

The Course is well structured and have Semester examination system. You can get a good number of options for special papers and a lot of good professors for assisting you in project work. If you can qualify NET/GATE/JEST , you can admit for PhD under some of the best professors in the State.

The university is specially acknowledged for it's placements and job opportunities. You can get jobs in your country and abroad depending on your subject and interview. We don't have much scope for internship here but a lot of collaboration works are available along with summer projects.

We observe a lot of events here. Fresher's: Here we interact with the students admitted in the current year. We share a whole day knowing each other. Samonnoy: This is an event where the current students interact with the alumni. A fine day with cultural programs with lunch and dinner. Sanskriti : This is our fest, musical bands around the city are present. We have an open air auditorium for these events.

The fee structure is very much feasible. Our university has the lowest fee structure for engineering (source: Wikipedia). The fees for Masters in Physics is not more than 1400/- per semester (excluding hostel charges). The courses are government aided and further supported by University.

Yes, we have University Scholarship for the students coming from poor economic background. Union scholarship is given to the students. Hostel accommodation is also provided free of cost for the students fulfilling the referred criteria. Personally I have not availed them but some of my friends are benefitted by the system.

Labs, Gym, Physical fitness center is present. Outdoor games like Football, Cricket, Basketball, Lawn tennis, American football is available. Indoor games like Carrom, Table tennis are there. We have a special section for the handicapped person's so that they can join us in activities.

Hostels have good infrastructure with indoor and outdoor gaming facilities. The rooms are thought some of them require development. Each hostel is having a small green patch, recreation rooms. Hostel life is very much enjoyable.

Alumni is good and seniors are very helpful. You can get immediate help whenever you require, personal or educational. The campus life here is best in the country. Alumni association is present and all are cordially invited for "Samonnoy" fest and we get the scopes to interact with them personally.

If you are joining after 12th then admission procedure is on the basis of marks Obtained and entrance test. If you are looking for post graduate after that,then you will get a scope to get direct admission according to your marks in the 60% seats. If you are a migrating student, then you have to secure at least 60% marks in graduation for applying which will be followed by an Entrance test. The marks Obtained in the entrance test is the selection criteria for Masters.

The faculties are Good. A huge number of professor available who are working in different field. You can get both experimental and theoretical help from here. Though some of the laboratory require better assistant and lab teacher.
