Cummins College Review

Our batch i.e., 2015-2019 was the last one to get affiliated to SPPU(Savitribai Phule Pune University).Hence the course curriculum was as provided by the University.However,since 2016 batch,Cummins is an Autonomous College now.Therefore,the course curriculum is as per the norms made by the college itself.

Although I do not have any experience of doing any internships from college.Since the internships consisted of a period of 2 to 6 months,which did not fix in the curriculum and pattern of SPPU.However,since our college is now an Autonomy,there are immense opportunities for internships from the tech giants like CitiCorp,Goldman Sachs and few others.

If you want a sea full of Placement Opportunities,YOU GOTTA COME HERE!.Words say it all!.The Placement opportunities provided by Cummins college are immense,ranging from service based tech companies like Accenture,Infosys,Wipro,Persistent; to product based companies like Dell,ViaSat,Mercedes Benz,Cisco and even big giants and banks like CitiCorp,Goldman Sachs,Deustche Bank,MasterCard,Standard Chartered,Oracle,Western Digital and even Microsoft and Walmart Labs.With every year,the placement percentage has been increasing at a higher rate.

Gandhaar! Hola! That's the best part of the Engineers' life at Cummins College.It is a cultural event.With everyone taking part actively in this event,the joy unfolds doubly!!.There are Technical events such as Innovation, enhancing the technical skills,sponsored by various tech giants.Every year,our college team participates in the BAJA event,a huge event organized at the national level.This year,our team represented India at the international level.

Since I am a Day Scholar,so I may not be the best person to tell about it.However,I can tell you certain things: 1. Maharishi Karve Stree Shikshan Sanstha has some hostels of their own. So they are extremely safe and comfortable, and meet the students' needs. 2. They even have mess for every hostel. 3. The Sanstha's hostels are nearby college.So there is no conveyance problem for the students. 4. These hostels make the students' life hassle free.Thanks to the Sanstha's ammenities. :)

When I was seeking a college to take admission in,as of 2015 year,we had a common entrance exam called the Joint Entrance Exam or JEE. The score of this exam was applicable to take admission in any college across India.So,the process was quite tough in our times.With every student seeking for a good college,there was much competition.Our admission took place according to DTE norms.But our session,i.e.,2015-2019 was the last session affiliated to SPPU(Savitribai Phule Pune University).Now, its an autonomous college,so the process may be different/same.

Well,I would like to mention certain points about the faculties: 1. The 'BEST' faculty. 2. They teach everything conceptually.Practical approach teaching methodology. 3. They assist you in every walk of life. There are mentors provided every year,for each student.These mentors guide you through everything, ranging from personal problems to anything related to studies. 4. They take that 'extra' effort so that the student does not lack at anything. 5. Industry-based teaching approach. 6. Placement assistance provided to every student.
