College is located in Medinipur.The place is not so advanced but the weather and college infrastructure is very good. The local people are also very sweet and caring and one doesn't feel that they are away from their home. The only thing that can be improved is the management and placement cell of the college because these two things are the most essential ones and are solely responsible for the development and progress of the college.

The Course curriculum is in accordance with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University.The course is good but not in pace with the growing technology and other top notch universities.The course needs to be updated every 2-3 years . Internals are held every month and there are two semesters,first the odd semester in December and even semester in July.

Independence Day Janmashtami Prayukti is the technical fest of our college which is really famous in eastern part of our country. Cultural meet also occurs where students showcase their talents in various fields such as painting,singing,dancing,drama. There is annual sports meet along with cricket ,football and basketball tournaments.

The fee structure is quite feasible because they charge only Rs 40000 per semester and additional 12500 for hostel. Being a private college the fee structure is quite affordable and worth it. The college provides every basic facilities like gym,yoga and meditation centre,sports facilities and especially the library facilities are very good.So all in all the value for money is descent enough.

The colleg is very active in extracurricular activities like the tech fests ,cultural club sports but what is lacking is the proper management. The labs are outdated and we are divided into groups and it is very difficult to understand and analyse the experiment if others are not supportive and sincere enough.

I have opted for hostel and I have got Balaji Hostel.The infrastructure of P5 and Ranichak hostel is good but Balaji hostel is not up to the mark. There is no facilities in the hostel like laundry. The water provided is rich in iron and one has to buy mineral water from local suppliers. The mess food is pathetic and there are changes in the price of the food frequently.

Some seniors are very helpful and take care of us like their own brothers and sisters whereas some are rude and may tease students. One can overcome it by joining various clubs and societies so that they can interact well with the seniors and get to know each other which can prevent unruly situations.

I got admission in Haldia institute of technology through West Bengal joint entrance examination with a rank of 10,000. First of all we have to select the colleges as per our priority and then there are 3 rounds of counselling which allots us the colleges.In each and every round we have two choices,either we can select the alloted college and go to the different WBJEE counselling centres for document verification or wait for upgradation but once upgraded we cannot go back to our previous choice so one needs to be very careful.After counselling is over we need to report to the college for verification and payments.Once all the formalities are done , admission process is over. Students can also get admission through management quota but they have to report to college directly and have a word with the college authority for further details.

The faculty is quite experienced as many of them are m.tech and phDs in their respective fields.The only problem one might face is in communicating with them because most of them are from West Bengal so their is a slight accent of bengali while they are speaking whereas the students are mostly from Bihar and UP.
