IICA prepares its students for restaurant ownership. The institute trains students in the skills needed to succeed in the restaurant business. A course at IICA does not only teach one how to cook and prepare food but also to run a business.
Course Curriculum Overview
Advance Diploma in Culinary Arts is a 2 year full-time program. The course is extremely industry-oriented, the first 6 months of both the years are devoted to course content which include both theory and practical classes. Revisions and in-class tests are taken regularly for the students to practice what they have learnt. The course content is divided such that in the first year, students learn about French and European cuisines. While in the second year, students are taught advanced Global cuisine skills and bakery & patisserie skills. At the end of the 6 month on-campus teaching, students are sent for Industrial Training at a leading hotel/restaurant.
Placement Experience
Students of IICA have been placed at the best hotels across India and overseas. Students have been placed at Gordon Ramsay's Maze Grill at Hong Kong, Tresind Hotel at Dubai, ITC in India and various other hotels and restaurants.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, scholarships are available to Culinary Arts students attending 95% or more classes. Students can get a 10% off on Tuition fee across all courses in the institute. The web desk on the official website can be contacted for the same.
Campus Life
The students of IICA have catered to guests at the Italian Embassy and Cultural Centre. IICA has been the culinary and hospitality partner of events from brands like Dabur Honey at the Great Aravali Run.
