Remarks

There are plenty of positives about the college. Infrastructure of the college is the best thing about college. Workshops are also very good. The negative is the lack of freedom for the students. No free times for students.

Course Curriculum Overview

Its a complicated system because it consist of short span semesters.Total of 46 subjects and 15 labs are included in the four years.exams are carried out in every December and May.100 mark exams are usually done

Placement Experience

Our college does not engage that much placement drives. Even they do the same it will be call centre firms. Internships are done by students by their own. So I didn’t go for the internship program. Some of the students went for it.

College Events

Every year we celebrate onam at the college. It is the best program of entire year. Then we have the arts festival and sports. This will strengthen the abilities of students in their own unique way.

Fee Structure And Facilities

On merit list the fee structure is about 75000 per year. Scholarships are available for merit students about 25000 per year. For the management seats the fee is above 1 lakh per year. I think the fee structure is feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

Students who got the highest rank in entrance exam will get scholarships by the college itself. All the merit list students will get 1/3 of their fee by state government. Loan facilities are not offered by the college but it can be done by students.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities are not good enough in our college. arts day and sports day is the only way of showcasing the talents of the students. Labs and workshops are very good. In labs and workshops a lot of equipments are there.

Alumni/Alumna

There is no alumni associations in the college. Management is not so open minded towards the pass out students.There is no events carried out by and for pass out students. Senior students are busy at seeking jobs.

Admission

I wrote the entrance exam and got my name on merit list.It is a single window computerised process.50 % seats are reserved for the merit list and other half filled by management.One will be alloted based on their marks

Faculty

Faculty of the college is no that good because they are less experienced teachers.so the quality of teaching is very poor and it reflects on the ability of students.it also reduces the extra curricular activities

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

My experience

I applied for few other colleges and got admission there and i attended the classes for few days but not at all satisfied as the travel distance is much longer and there are only limited transportation. So i opted for this college as its considerably close compared to other colleges i opted. And the hostel facility is not a considerable option for Me. As i get into management quota, there were cutoff of 60% 12th standard marks + need to be KEAM qualified candidate.
