The college has very pleasant atmosphere. The college is surrounded by trees. We live in greenery. It makes our mind peaceful and bring us in a mood for study. The overall unity among students is poor.
Course Curriculum Overview
This college operates under APJAKTU. The course curriculum does not just focus on studies, extra curricular activities are also must for the completion of course.The exam structure is very good. The college conducts two internal exams which are for 20 marks each and 10 marks for assignment. This mark is given as internal mark out of 50 which is added with the semester exam marks by the university.
Placement Experience
There is a placement cell in our college and they provides placement training for 3rd year students. About 90% of students who attend for campus selection are placed every year. The college has various working units like IEEE, IETE etc. Internships are conducted by them in college itself during summer vacation. Stipend is not provided by them but the experience was very good.
College Events
Celebrations are very often in our college. We unitedly coordinate and organise the event very successfully. Techfest is one and very grand event in our college. It is conducted every year. Students from various colleges all over kerala come to visit and participate in techfest. The name of techfest in our college is Dyuksha. College union inauguration, fresher's day, college day etc. are also celebrated. Cultural events like onam, ethnic day are also celebrated.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible for all students. The PTA fees is a little bit expensive but the overall expense is not very expensive as in other colleges. The college administration does their best to help the poor and needy.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, the college offers a number of scholarships. Most of them are government scholarships. Both kerala government and central government scholarships are provided. Other scholarships are also offered. That is by the Nair Service Society under which the college operates.
Campus Life
The labs are very good and have excellent facilities. The labs are not only used for things under syllabus but also to do other works and projects by the students. The labs are open for all students without any restriction. Also labs are very spacious. Sports day is conducted every year. Arts day is also conducted every year. They are just awesome.
Hostel Facilities
I have not opted for hostel. But the college hostels are well maintained. We have 4 college hostel for men and 4 ladies hostel. The food is very good there. More spacious rooms. The fees is very less.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumnus are helpful. They have a facebook group of alumni students. They offer fund for techfests and other programs conducted in colleges. They support us and share ideas while organising programs.They help us also for projects.
Admission
I got admission here through college transfer. 1st year I was in GEC Sreekrishnapuram. NSS is better than GEC, so I applied for college transfer. There were vacancy in EEE and I got selected by the college administrators.
Faculty
The faculties are very sincere. They support us in studies and their teaching is very effective. They conduct remedial classes for students obtaining below pass mark. Peer group formation is supported and encouraged by teachers.
