My College

The college is situated in a well suited location. It is away from the city but not too far. The atmosphere is very pleasant. The infrastructure is very good. We have a great library. The only negative is that there is alot to walk between each block.

I have a very good opinion about the course curriculum. Unlike other universities, our curriculum is mainly focused on professional excellence. There are subjects like design engineering,management and sustainable engineering that improves the quality of the students as professional engineers. Also the exam structure is good. Two internal exams are conducted per semester and internal marks are out of 50. And the semester exam is out of 100. The grading system is also excellent.

There is good placement opportunities in my college. The placement cell is very active. Most of the companies that come to our college is IT companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant. The average placement offer is around 3.5 lakhs per annum. Internships are not provided in our college.

The main celebrations in our college are Technical fest in the name of 'Takshak' and cultural fest in the name of 'Sanskriti'. The tech fest is celebrated in odd semester and cultural fest in even semester. We also celebrate Onam , Teachers day, Kerala piravy, Christmas Union day, Hostel day, Valentine's day and some small celebrations related to our college.

The fee structure is feasible. It is government fees only. It is only around 8400 per semester including the exam registration fees. No additional fees is charged by the college. But there is fine for violating the college rules.The hostel fee is also feasible.

We have scholarships like alumni scholarship, scholarship for SC/ST students, scholarship based on annual income of student's parents. I am receiving the alumni scholarship of 12000/- every year to my bank account.

The labs in the college are well equipped. Most of the equipments are new. Everything is well maintained. My college also promotes extracurricular activities and sports. We have college cricket team, basketball team, volleyball team, football team,etc for both boys and girls.

I am staying in the college Men's Hostel.The hostel infrastructure is very good. All the buildings are renovated. There is an entire new building for second years. The number of toilets and bathrooms is enough for all of us.

Our alumni network is well established and active. They support the college. They bring placement opportunities from their working companies. They also provide a scholarship for the students. They help to conduct the tech fest every year by sponsoring some events.

I wrote the KEAM entrance exam after my plus two graduation in the year of 2017. I got the rank of 3247 in the entrance exam. I applied to my college for the course of Computer Science and Engineering as my first option. I got the allotment in my college on OBC reservation.

The faculties in our college are well experienced and well qualified. Most of them are well aware of their subjects and the curriculum. The new faculties try their best to get used to the syllabus. All the staff members are updated with latest stuffs. Most of them are very friendly and we can freely interact with them.
