Remarks

College is good in sense of presence around the corporate network. Efforts is required to cope up with the academic. BIT has been known for its extend of academia. Campus is lush green but in summers water scarcity may be faced.

Course Curriculum Overview

BIT used to offer Bachelor of Engineering degree but from 2017 with the advent of Choice based Credit System (CBCS) Bachelor of Technology has been introduced to keep up with the changing industry requirement around the globe. The exam pattern consists of unit tests and mid semester and end semester examinations.

Placement Experience

Placements are pretty decent for the Computer Science and IT branch. The core branches namely ECE, EEE, Mech have to suffer due to low market demands. Students have been placed in companies like OnePlus, Amdocs, Erricson, Samsung, IVP, Infosys, Cognizant, TCS etc.

College Events

College has a number of cultural and technical societies. UTTHAAN is annual techno cultural fest of BIT Deoghar. Literary society hosts Aurora as a part of annual fest. Dramatic Society - Abhivyakti hosts Antragini followed by Musical Society - Swar Aagaaz.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being a AICTE approved college, fees are centrally regulated. Per semester fees is 1,75,000 which varies according to semester. Apart from this student can avail merit based scholarship - G.P. Birla Scholarship worth 2.7 crores.

Fees and Financial Aid

GP Birla Scholarship is awarded on the basis of merit. Students scoring 8-8.5 CGPA get 20% scholarship in tuition fees, 8.5-9.0 get 50%, 9.0-9.5 get 75% and above 9.5 get 100% scholarship. Other Scholarship awarded is by Jharkhand Government to the minorities on the basis of their annual income from all the sources.

Campus Life

College has keen support for sports activites. College football team has been the winner at Vajra - inter college tournament. Chess, badminton, volleyball, basketball and other sporting events are greatly encouraged. Basic amenities are good. Labs are quite decent and proper care and effort is being put to enhance their features.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are pretty good with 24 hours electricity and water facility. Geysers are installed in all the hostels. There are 2 boys hostel and a girl's hostel. Proper hygiene and sanitation is maintained. The hostels are managed by team of wardens and Student welfare Dean.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Although college was established in 2007, the alumni network is being build up rapidly. Alumni are working in number of conglomerates and goverment posts. Alumni are working at Google, Exide , Bank of America and other.

Admission

The admission is done on the basis of Common Rank List of the JEE Mains examination. Interested students can apply by visiting the website of Birla Institute of Technology that is; www.bitmesra.ac.in and apply to BIT Deoghar. Following the deadline a common list is released on the basis of which the interested students are selected if they are found eligible and fit to the curriculum.

Faculty of the college are well aquaint with the course and structure. The minimum criteria to be a professor at BIT is to have Masters or Doctorate degree from some reputed college around the globe. Many faculty have been visiting professor for several colleges around India and the world

from 7th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placement there are lot of companies who used to visit our campus like microsoft gives 15 to 20 offer, amazon guves 13 to 15 offer , accenture gives a lot of offer like 30 offer and many more in recent year placement 64 lpa is highest and average of 12.5 lpa they use to offer forSDE role in last year 93.14percentage of total student get placed my plan is to get a full time job as software developer

INSIGHTS OF BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem onwards students are able to face placements. Comapnies such as ZS, Deloite AB in bev microsoft visa comes here and normally takes 1-3 students. The highest package may vary from 40-50 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs. Internships opportunities are quite low here. In chemical enginnering only till now out of 120 students 20-30 got placed including out of campus palcements. I am hoping to do mba after pursuing the degree as there is less comapny visit for core branches.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester.A variety of companies including TATA Steel, JSL, JPL, Samsung, TCS and ABG visit the campus.The highest package offered is to Mining branch by vedanta which is 16.5 lpa.In core branches like mechanical and electrical the placement percentage reaches to almost 80%.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

The placement of IIT dhanbad is very good and it offers a average package of 24lpa with highest package of 66lpa this year. Also every year more than 70% students get placed in our college. Specially the core companies shows a lot of interest in our college like coal india, sail, gail, petroleum industries companies, mining companies , etc Average package of cse here is 28lpa with 90% placement rate. Average of electrical is 23lpa with placement rate of 80%. Similarly, every branch average package lies between 18lpa to 24lpa.

Placement Experience:

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This college is an engineering college and I choose this college for a Btech degree in civil engineering. The teacher faculty is pretty well they teach us and do many practical labs. The student ratio in my class is 50:11 which means 50 boys and 11 girls in my branch. Mainly they all are DR they have dr degrees and they method is simply not like an extraordinary teacher. In my college teacher took all the exams at timely and it is not very difficult to pass

Experience of an undergrad

For taking admission in this college you should must give jee mains exams,as this college is now lister under josaa and csab therefore maximum of it seats and alloted through this counsellings,some of the vacants seats are filled by the internal counselling conducted by the bit mesra considering jee mains rank.I got admission to this college through jee mains rank in the csab 1st round into the btech in computer science and engineering.the application forms of jee mains can be found on the NTA website with its own form fees for the exam.In the jee mains reservation is provided according to the category,the exam level is moderate to hard the exam is conducted twice in an year most probably jan and april.the internal counselling forms can be found on bit mesra website after jee mains exams. the cutoff ranges from 88 percentile above for general ,80 + for obc as well as for Ews and 70+ for sc/st....Read More

1.The admission process is easy. You should have to appear in Jee mains examination then You have to sit in councelling process of JOSSA Or CSAB the merit list came after that you have to pay a fix amount of admission fee to book your seat and after some day to have to came to college for document verification. 2.The college also give privilage to jharkhand obc student, student should have JEE mains score card and have obc certificate which is issued by SDO only.
