Review of the college

The college infrastructure is great there's nothing minimum in the college but coming to the negative side the campus size is small that we will not get enough space to roam around where the greenery is less and Auditorium facility is also not that much good.

The college was following the Kerala Technological University syllabus and curriculum. in the syllabus and curriculum the University has asked a student under its University to learn every basic engineering divisions in the first year itself. in the first year I had courses on basics of mechanical engineering basics of civil engineering basics of electrical and electronics engineering along with that the basic subject like physics chemistry and mathematics was also there. till the fourth semester we had mathematics as one of our course. As per University norms we have to secure 45 marks in the internal examination itself to get qualified to write the external final University examination. there were lab sessions and their internal evaluations for labs. University exam will be passed only by securing 45 marks in that also. the result will be out within 2 to 4 months. The exam pattern was symbol as there will be 3 parts where the module 1 and 2 will be in the first part module 3 and 4 in the second part and module 5 and 6 in the third part.

The placements and job opportunities that our college is great and around 50 to 60 known and big companies were there last year for the placement drives. major companies like TCS IBM IBM Wipro Bosch etc was there and some small companies also. from the total strength of 300 students around 210 students were placed before the final University examination. the college also provide useful links and brochures of internship that are conducted in different companies training centres and different colleges under the associations of each department.

Onam : since the college is situated in Kerala the festival Onam is celebrated wonderfully in which college. on the day of Onam we will be e doing flower carpet and there will be a number of events that are associated with the traditional Kerala fashion. Arts Fest : as the college is under Kerala Technological University the arts fest are conducted in every year and the winners are selected to participate in the university level competition. Sports : sports are also conducted annually for the selection of winners ticket participated in the university level competition. we have 2 days sports where one day will be dedicated for athletics and the other day for games. Tech Fest : Techfest is the time when the technical knowledge of every student is utilised for making and boosting the events. there are fun and Technical events included in every Techfest. it is Inter College level where students from other colleges can also participate. Department Fests : every department in the college have days where and which day will celebrate their department days the day will be having some technical Topics session and along with that some special events like dance of song or skit.

The fee structure is same as that the university describes the entire colleges under the university is having the same fee structure where every student could study at a rate of 50000 rupees per year for any engineering course and there is a caution deposit of 10000 Rupees where there will be remitted back.

The fee structure if flexible that the college itself provide a good number of scholarships for the children if and admitted Stewart and is having 85 or 90 % above in mathematics from higher secondary level they will be granded is scholarship of studying the entire course at 8500 rupees per year and another scholarship provided is any student who secured a rank in Kerala entrance examination below 10,000 also gets the same scholarship that he or she can study in the college at 8500 per year.

Hindi 1st year exam every basic engineering courses like Mechanical Engineering Computer Science Engineering civil engineering electrical engineering and electronics engineering is having the workshops along with that will be having labs of chemistry and physics. These sports are conducted annually and has 2 days where on the first day we will be having the athletics and on the second day will be having games.

The college provide a good hostel and convince facility where the girls hostel is situated inside the campus compound itself and the boys hostel is just 500 metres away from the college. they both are multi stored and with a capacity of holding around 300 students. there are single rooms as well as paired and to a maximum of 4 could be accommodated in a room. the food and Accommodation facility is good.

The college itself as Alumina Association named OSAM or old student Association MITS. This is much helpful that we will get thoughts of experience people working in industry and corporate world what is happening in the corporate world or industry is being experienced by them and a shared to us in the sessions conducted by the college inviting them to the college.

I got the admission in the college through Kerala entrance examination. First we have to apply for the Kerala entrance examination. the entrance examination will be conducted by the government in any of the nearby Higher Secondary Schools. the result will be added along with the higher secondary marks of physics chemistry and mathematics to get the rank for the examination. this rank is used for making us admitted to the corresponding engineering colleges. the college I got in the first allotment itself was Muthoot Institute of Technology and Science. I got admission after the second allotment result was out. after the allotment I went to the college and there was the certificate collection and a small interview with the principal of the college. the interview was simple as they were asking only about the personal details and some academic details that we secured previously.

Coming to the qualifications of the faculty in the department they were all assistant professor associate professors and professors the faculty includes teachers that were transferred from IIT and were qualified as a professor by learning from some good colleges. The knowledge level and domain knowledge is great with every faculty that they were extremely helping the students in the project and lab sessions. the theory part was also handled perfectly.
