Remarks

College is good in terms of freedom. As they are not over strict. Canteen facility is poor. It's the only bad thing about our college. Facilities are very helpful and friendly. College has good atmosphere for studying.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our university is APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, it was established in 2015 only. As i'm the second batch only, syllabus and curriculum has few problems. However for fixing this issues it takes time.

Placement Experience

Placements are there, but most of the companies coming are software companies. I'm studying civil as I'm only interested to work only in civil engineering based companies oru construction companies. College has promised that construction companies will also come in time.

College Events

Yasya is the cultural and arts fest of our college. Every year at time of March or April Yasya is conducted. Yasya is inter college fest. Then separate arts day is conducted for students of college. Sports day is also conducted.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible. My yearly fees is 112950 rupees. As my family is middle class they can afford this college. I'm studying here without taking loans of any kind. If there is any delay in paying the fees college management gives time for paying the fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know any scholarship or loan facility. As i don't need any kind of loan. Getting scholarship need getting good marks. As i dont have good marks i don't have any scholarship.

Campus Life

Yes there is extra curricular activities, labs, sports, arts, etc. Lab facilities are very excellent. Lab area is very good. Sports activites like football, cricket, volleyball, badminton are here.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are helpful. There is no ragging. My college ragging free. Seniors are very friendly. I enjoy their company very much. We are still in contact after they got passed out.

Admission

I passed entrance exam. Then i took management seat,as passing entrance exam is mandatory for management seat. I did not had minimum marks for mathematics ie., 50 marks for maths, physics and chemistry. So i got admission through management seat

Faculty

Faculty is good. Not all the faculty is good. Few of them are new to this job, as they need time to get used to teaching. All of the faculties are very helpful. Everyone is very eager to clear doubts.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
