Most prestigious time of life for every student

My college was having all the technical as well as social fests. Teachers of the college so much supportive in order to organise any event in the college. And the most importantly I believe my college is having positive side is study tour which college authority is giving to students in order to know about practical world. My college was providing half of the money for Study tour and as well as allowing site seeing so that was relaxed study activity which was liked the most by students.

Course curriculum was totally decided by college authority as our college is autonomous institute of government of Maharashtra. There were total 8 semester and 5 subjects in each semester along with corresponding laboratory sessions for subjects. Laboratory sessions are specially just for the sake of implementation of theoretical efforts into practical reality. Also course curriculum was having bridge courses such Environmental Science, NCC in order to have social touch along with technical liability. Last semester of third year was having Mini project and Last year was having major projects and both of them were part of curriculum.

Placement and job opportunities are more to the IT sector than Core sector. As an electrical engineer and belonging to core sector face competition for job. College was not providing internship at the time of our batch but college has taken initiative about it and started internship program. At my time there was vacational 15 days trainning which I have completed from Power Engineers Kolhapur.

College was conducting so many events which includes Technical events, Cultural fest, Sport fest 1. Aavishkar ( Technical Event) 2. Aaroha ( Cultural fest) 3. Interclass ( Sports Fest) Along with this there was club events , NCC events, Ladies Club Activity on the occasion of Women's day. And Dias Communication skill club conducted ( TEDx GCEK) for two times during my course duration.

As I am belonging to general category so College fee structure is expensive. Academic fees for one year is 63660 and there were other expenses such as exam fees and stationary for submission of lab practical. Along with these Hostel fees 7000 and mess fees about 16000 per year so. Total 63660 Academic expense+ 23000 Accomodation expense and near about 10000 is other expense. Total Expense was around 1Lakh per year and 4 lakh for course duration.

I am belonging to general category so I have availed only central sector scholarship which merit based scholarship based on 12th standard board exam PCM marks. But due to high expense I have taken Education loan which was not provided by college but filed by me. I have availed education loan of 287000 from SBI.

Labs of the college was having quite old texture but there was availability of instruments required. As well as it was upgraded with time so that was beneficial for students of each stream. Laboratory sessions were having 2 hours each day out of total 6 hours of college day. Each day there was 4 hours allotted for lecture and 2 hours for practical sessions. College was having huge play ground for sports and Interclass competition held every year. Along with this College was providing opportunity to students for participating in District Level Zonal competition.

Yes I have opted hostel. As my college is handelled by state government and established in 1963 so hostel infrastructure was totally builder in stone. But administration of hostel was very much aware about cleanliness and discipline of hostel. There were total 8 hostels for girls and boys and each hostel was having mess.

College was always conducting Alumni meet and inviting particular batch of alumni. All of them are successful in their respective fields and we were getting inspired by the courageous words of them. There was so many interactive session for students. Our college has given so many respected personalities to the society.

For State Engineering colleges Maharashtra government is conducting CET/ JEE exam which is criteria for admission. At the time of my admission there was cumulative score criteria i.e JEE+ State board percentile in which I received 92.89 percentile based on which I received one SML( State Merit List ) number. On the basis of SML I have full filled the option form for College and branch priority & Electrical Engineering branch seat has been allotted to me in very first round

My college faculty were truly knowledgeful personalities. Most of the faculty members are having experience above 15-20 years. As well as my department was having 5 PhD holder teachers who are extremely enthusiastic and full of knowledge and we were fill free to contact them and resolvance of our queries.
