MEC, TVM

Postive includes many. I am damn sure MEC, TVM is one among the best engineering colleges in Kerala. The reason why i tell it is that , we have very good resluts and university ranks from every departments for university exam. Many of our former students starts their own start-ups and companies with the help of our college. Every year more than 60 students from all branches are getting placed in good companies.

Course is very good and if the student is really interested in the course , then he/she can excell in it. Telling about the exam structure, it contains2 series exam for 50 marks for each paper and 1 university exam.

College has a very good placement cell and they are inviting and giving very companies and job offers to the students. The placement is not only for all pass students, students with minimum number of back loads can also participate in placement. The placement is mostly achieved by the students of mechanical engineering department and computer science engineering department. Other department students are also achieved. Yes, our college is providing internship and project training in various fields. College has different kinds of club in each departments and also our has very good IEEE cell , IEDC cell, Mechatronics club etc. Each club is supporting students to do various projects and they are ready to give an amount for them to do it.

Actually it's a kind of welcoming new students to the college. Onam is one of the major celebration in Kerala. It comes on either August or September of the year.

Students with higher ranks has very low fee fixed by the Government. Other students has 75000 per year as the tution fee. Other than this, there is more money required for other purpose like examination fee , celebration fee etc. In the college. A minimum of 1lakh rupees is paid by an average student in the college. It is little bit expensive for common people.

Students with higher ranks has scholarships provided by the Government. They want to pay only less amount as the tution fee in the college. And also students who belongs to lower cast is aloso getting scholarships from the Government. I don't know about loan and all.

Our college has vast varieties of extracurricular activities which includes dance club, music club, Mechatronics club etc. Sports includes football , cricket , badminton, volleyball and basketball. Our college has very good sports team and are achieved prizes in many events conducted by other institutions in Trivandrum as well as in Kerala.

I am not a hostler. I am a day scholar. But from the information that i get from the hostelers us that, they are providing a goid room for students. Each room can be shared by 3 stdents.The toilets avilable in the hostel is also good. But there is slight problem in the mess sometimes.

Our collge ia started in the year 2001. From that year students to last pass out batch students is joined in alumni club and they took the membership. Senior students are very much helpful for us in both academics as well as in co-curricular activities.

All the faculties in the college are well educated means all are post graduates even some them has Phd too and also some are doing Phd,now and all are well experienced. Some of faculties are graduated from IITs,NITs and other top institutions in Kerala as well as in India. In lab , the lab instructors are very well experienced in their filed and has a very good knowledge about the experiments which they are taking to us.
