Remarks

Good faculty but poor management. For IT course it's not that good as there is lack of computers and the existing computer doesn't have the software which are needed for the practical. Exam structure is 70 for theory and 30 for practical. Nowadays it might be changed due to autonomous change in the management.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Recently college has become autonomous so the exams are held and papers are checked by college itself but when I was in college it used to be Mumbai University which used to held exams and papers used to got to university for assessment.

Placement Experience

2

Placement and job opportunities are their but not that great because companies have started to organize pool campuses where students of different colleges go and crack the interview. But I remember that in our college several companies like capgemini had organized drives.

College Events

4.5

There are various events that are held in our college. But biggest of those are 2 events that are Pravah and Birlotsav Pravah- In this event various sub events are been organized like instant coding on a given topic and gifts are given to those who complete it first. Dance performances are also organized in birlotsav as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

College was government affiliated in 2018 so the fees were cheaper like they used to charge 22k for BSCIT degree and 38k for MSC degree and if some6is from reserved category then its far cheaper for them but now the college is autonomous so now the fee structure would have been modified.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no scholarship or an loan facility according to your marks or percentage but there is scholarship for the cast student. You have talk with head of department in case of scholarship as every department is separated from each other

Campus Life

3.5

Activities are good, labs are not at all good, sports are well organized, you can spend your time outside the college. There are different events organized like cricket matches and bow and arrow training also been taken.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are worst at our time as they used to scare us about the faculties but ground reality was totally different. Aome of them are good but not that helpful. There should be some portal where juniors can get help from alumnis online.

Admission

I was waiting for merit list to be declared. Admission process for IT field is based on marks secured by individual in Mathematics. So Iwas waiting for 3rd merit list, finally my name was displayed in it so I got admission in this college. As the college is half an hour distance by train from my home it used to be convenient to travel.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty is very experienced and generous about their work. They explain each and every thing rahter than rushing for completion of syllabus. Nowadays faculty have started teaching syllabus on projectors.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
