Remarks

The college location is in Alandi so during the Yatra there is a lot of chaos at that time. The area is governed mainly by localites and Tapkirs. So, if there is any fight or anything you can never complain against them.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The Course Curriculum is designed considered the modern approach towards the tools and techniques of engineering. Beginning right from the freshman year a lot of projects are given to students for various subjects. The submission process for the assignments is online and periodic unlike the university pattern. There is continuous assessment of students in all the courses. The exam pattern is currently semester. There is an In Semester Exam and End Semester Exam for each course. The In Semester Exam is of 50 marks, these are converted to out of 30 and End Semester Exam is of 100 marks that are converted to 40, thus the student has to pass in the exam out of 70 marks for each subject. The remaining 30 marks are of internal assessment. This consists of quizzes, assignments, tests and classroom activities. The passing for this is seperate but the marks are combined for grading. The passing for all the courses is at 40%.

Placement Experience

2.5

Teh placements are really good for Computer Science, IT, ENTC compared to core branches like mechanical, chemical, civil. Internships are okay, some internships provide stipends while some have no stipend.

College Events

3

Different events like Freshers party, farewell party, annual gathering, traditional day, Bollywood day, saree day, tie day and festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, Lohri, Dandiya are celebrated in the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite expensive compared to other colleges in Pune University. But the fee can be paid in installments and many scholarships are available as well. If you are a candidate from OBC, SC, SBC, ST, etc. then the fees are affordable.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have availed the TFWS scholarship. It is the Tution fee waiver scheme. It reduces the college fee to almost 10%. For benefitting from the scholarship, your score should be in the top 5 percentile of college and you should belong to the non creamy layer. This scholarship is for all candidates, even open category students. Other scholarships like EBC and caste schemes are there. Then scholarships for girls and merit students is also available.

Campus Life

4

The sports committee includes games like chess, carom, basketball, football, cricket, volleyball, athletics, kho kho, etc. There are many other events and fests in the college. Some lab infrastructure is missing in the college for certain practicals though.

Hostel Facilities

3

I was in the college girls' hostel for 1 year. The hostel has facilities like washing machine, oven, fridge, parking space, television, WiFi, daily room cleaning service, pest control. It is a furnished hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is really helpful. Many of the senior students are doing well. They give guidance about the placements, companies, market scenarios, internships, exams and college related activities as well which is very helpful and makes things easier.

Admission

I had appeared for Maharashtra CET for Engineering, then filled the form for the CAP round and gave the preference for college choices. In 2nd round I got admission in the college. CET is common entrance test and CAP is Centralised Admission Process.

Faculty

2.5

Some faculties are really good and they are well versed in their subject. But there are some teachers who are unable to cope with the autonomous system of the college. Some teachers are really supportive in research work and extra curricular activities of students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
