Remarks

The college is accredited to the grade A by NAAC India, which means that it is a highly standardized College. Although, the person's view upon learning in the college might not stay the same. As for me, I was one of the people who couldn't get any facilities in the college because the renovation process didn't occur and the college basically took all of the costs of renovation from our fees. The college should stop supporting Backward classes and should only provide scholarships on basis of Merit or Financial need.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum was fairly easy. I personally feel that it should be a little more oriented to the current trends in the market instead of focusing on outdated technologies which will not benefit students. I feel that the syllabus should be revised each year, because in this time and age, something new in technology comes out every few weeks and the students need to be ready for the challenges they need to face.

Placement Experience

3

My college has a campus recruitment drive. A few companies came in to for mass recruitment. It was a pool campus drive so students from other Colleges participated too. I was hired in Capgemini with a starting package of 2.1LPA. I heard later on the structure got revised to 2.5LPA

College Events

2.5

There's a fresher's party. As the name suggests it's for welcoming the freshers and making them feel comfortable during the initial days of the college. Later on there are youth festivals of each respective departments like the Arts festival Malhar, or the science festival Pravah.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was quite feasible as compared to engineering courses as provided by other colleges. Nowadays since the college has been declared Autonomous, the fee structure might be revised. I do not know the current status of the fee structure

Fees and Financial Aid

I do not know of any such scholarships or loan facilities that my college provides. The college provides financial help for backward classes which I'm totally against, since the financial help isn't needed as backward classes have developed these days

Campus Life

3

College has a sports ground and people play on it for most time of the year except for rainy season when the ground gets muddy. The computer labs during our time were seriously outdated and on the verge of being destroyed. But recently the computer labs were remade and new PCs have been brought in

Alumni/Alumna

No. In my case, my seniors were almost like delinquents. They used to look for profit in every single activity and scammed the college for money during the youth festivals. Ofcourse that depends from generation to generation.

Admission

I submitted my marks from 10th and 12th along with the name of the course I wanted to be enlisted in. The merit list was announced and I completed the rest of the formalities. That included, submitting photo copies of your adhar card, photo, marksheets, etc. Then, you have to visit the HOD of your specific department who approves your application and then you pay the fees and your application gets accepted

Faculty

4

The faculty is really helpful. The teachers offer guidance to students in time of their need. Some subjects are not taught that well as compared to other subjects. Those ignored subjects are expected by students to learn themselves.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
