Remarks

There are many positive remarks for the college. The college ampience is very good. The negative of the college is it is situated far from the town. Therefore the companies doesn't opt for placements in college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Very good. The course curriculum is very good. The exam structure is fine. The exams are conducted on a regular semesterwise basis. The curriculum is based on the norms of KTU. The exams are not very tough.

Placement Experience

The college doesn't provide any internship facilities. The placements are not good. The students personally attend interviews on their own risk. Many students face difficulties due to that reason. They are distressed.

College Events

Techfest, arts are the main events conducted on our college. Arts fest are generally a two day programme with many events including DJ and other celebraties from outside the campus. The programme are given great importance

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible. The fees structure are feasible because the college is strictly under government. The fees are scheduled in a manner that strictly allows the poorest of the poor to study. The fees structure is a good thing.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many government and privately offered scholarships. There are stipends and scholarships that are of good use. It can be availed for students of different category. There are scholarships based on income.

Campus Life

There are ample facilities in college. The activities such as national service scheme, IEEE etc are available on college. There are good lab facilities. Sports events are given equal importance. Sports are conducted on an annual basis.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes. They are very helpful.There are many chapters of alumni. They help us in many events conducted in college and for placements. There are seniors who are very active in alumni network. The bangalore chapter is very active.

Admission

I got entrance through KEAM exam. I prepared two years for the entrance test. KEAM is an exam conducted by the government of kerala. The admission is strictly on merit basis.that it based on the entrance rank.

Faculty

Very good. Most of the teachers are very well mannered and polite. They are mostly from reputed college and have a keen interest in teaching. The faculties are student friendly and up to date. They are interested in students improvement

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
