Remarks
The campus is big and magnificent. As the college is somewhat far from town, the environment and surroundings provide a beat place to study and stay calm and peacefully. As the college is in a hilly area, during summer season, sometimes there might be lack of water. The college is suspended for such reasons.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is based on the Kerala technological university or Kalam Technical University, also known as KTU. One main exams will be conducted for for each semester, excluding series tests and assignment tests. One semester has a duration of 6 months. There are total of 8 semester.
Placement Experience
Placements and job opportunities are available in the college. There is a placement cell including interview training. The training given helps lots of students and already helped many alumnus who already passed out from the college. The companies usually come for placements are Infosys, IBM etc.
College Events
There are different events and programs celebrated in our college. It includes cultural events, sports meet and techfest. The main program to say is 'Rhythm', which was conducted in 2012. For computer science department, the techfest conducted was teranis, which was a huge success.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is different for different seats. It also vary from one cast to another. For merit seats, it is about 35,000 INR and 65,000 INR for management seats, excluding miscalleanous fees such as hostel fees, for books, uniform, etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
The first three people to come in the rank list of the college requires only 1000 INR to study. The rest is covered by the college. There are many scholarship available in our college. It includes MOMO, e-grantz etc. E-grantz is a good scholarship offered by the government. An amount of 10000 INR is given to the students per annum who has applied for egrantz.
Campus Life
Sports is highly encouraged and promoted among students. We conquered many top positions in many sport activities. In the case of labs, they are fully modernised and well equipped. In the case of computer labs, there are 5 computer labs. Each department has its own labs.
Hostel Facilities
The infrastructure of hostel is good. There are 6 students in one room. Each room is divided into 4 rooms, excluding bathroom. There are a total of 6 beds, one book shelf, 4 tables and six chairs allotted per room. Overall the conditions are good.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior students are friendly toward us. They are very helpful in studies and helps us to go to workshops in various topics. Also in the case of alumni, they contribute money for the college. One of the building, named 'alumni block' is made by the alumni. Also many alumni brought companies to the college for placement of students
Admission
I got the admission by qualifying the entrance exam, known as Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM). There are three allotment phases in KEAM. We can apply for both private colleges and government colleges as per our choice. After the second allotment we must go to the specific college in which we got the allotment. We can also apply for further allotment but I selected my option at L.B.S college of engineering college.
Faculty
Our faculty are always so kind toward us. The faculties teaching us are so good in their subjects, that we can understand any hard topics in the subject. The teachers also helps us to study even in our free time.
