Course Curriculum Overview

There are 2 semesters in a year. Each Semester have 6 subjects exams.The course curriculum is not bad.The semester exams are conducted in December and may.Each exam is of 3 hour duration.Different semesters will have exams on different days.

Placement Experience

There are enough placement and job opportunities in my college. This year already more than 30 students have got placements in various good companies like Wipro. The college do not provide any internship.

College Events

The college celebrates many events like Arts,Sports,Tech Fest,Onam Celebration,College day,Freshers day,Farewell day,Union day. The Tech fest of our college is named Invento.It happens every year during March.

Admission

I wrote kerala entrance exam for engineering and i passed that exam and I was on the merit list.On Allotment process I got another college. Later on fourth allotment I got admission in my current college.

Faculty

There are plenty of faculty in our college.I should say the quality of the faculty of my college is pretty good.All are well qualified and are well trained to teach the students in a professional way.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum is lakhs relevance to modern industry demands. while it covers the basics there is minimum focus on practical skills emerging technologies and real world applications overall, the courses not comprehensive enough.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.
