Remarks

Really good college for any student.Our college is blessed with a good and dedicated set of teachers.But there are certain negative sides too for the college it doesn't have a good campus it also don't have a good ground.

Course Curriculum Overview

Really good,internal exam is of 50 marks and semester exam is of 100 marks.Ktu has reduced course curriculum has helped many students to pass the examinations.Every exam is given equal importance and well planned prior the exams.

Placement Experience

I my really lucky to get to a college with really good placement and student exposure in every semester.Our internship was in Goa it helped us gain many knowledge about things related to our engineering branch(mechanical).

College Events

Union day:our college is under Sfi and they doing a fabulous job in promoting the needs of students and staffs.Unlike many colleges our college invited people who helped during flood in kerala and other brave people. Techfest, Sports day.

Fee Structure And Facilities

35000 per year it is feasible since my family background is not that good.First i got seat in a private college where the fee was a mamooth total of 100000 per year.we where about to take loan from bank but with gods grace got admission to this college.(govt. Controlled self financing college)

Fees and Financial Aid

It has a really good scholarship opportunities since it is half under government there are many scholarships for the students.Also if students have scored really good marks they have reduction in fee.For students who cannot afford the fee the college has good loan facility.

Campus Life

Labs has a really good set of faculty members.It has really good infrastructure and has everything needed for the experiments.Eventhough we don't have a college ground of our own we have seeked permission of other college to give the ground.The college a good set of teams for cricket football and volleyball.Once we about to win trophy at Ktu level.

Alumni/Alumna

Unlike many colleges our seniors are really good.There is no ragging problems and all.If there is doubt they help us to understand the topic in easy ways.Even if they have a many jobs to be done they help us.

Admission

Via spot admission first I got admission to college of engineering muttathara trivandrum then I saw the advertisement of spot admission then I changed my mind and changed the college since there is only 1 30hrs journey to my house

Faculty

Really good dedicated faculty.Our college is really blessed with a set of dedicated and professional teachers unlike many engineering colleges almost like fully govt colleges.They have helped many students to improve their knowledge level.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

The admission process began with myself being ranked at 20k in the KEAM examination where i was alloted to college of engineering and management, punnapra on a merit seat. The cut off was approximately 25-27k for computer science engineering.Prior to that,in the first allotment i was alloted to college of engineering kottarakkara, Kollam.
