CET No:1 College in Kerala under KTU

Our college is trying to attain NIT or IIT level of education. I think for this more fun to be provided by our government. NITs and IITs are getting very high amount of fund for their cultural fest, techfest and for the the development of infrastructure etc. Also Library and Gym of this college is not working for 24 hours. Even though, based on current infrastructure, academic performance of students, placement etc. CET got NIRF ranking 71 for the academic year 2018-2019. Also the cultural fest Dhwani and tech fest Drishti are well known in Kerala for the colourful 3 day events. Students are required to pay very less money for the best engineering education in Kerala and India. And most of the students get scholarship for their entire education.

BTech is having eight semesters, two semesters a year. There are six theory subjects and three practical subjects. For theory subjects there will be 6 modules. Two series exam will be the before the semester exam. In these series test two modules each will be asked for the exam. And in the semester exam all the six models will be asked, with a weightage of 15 percentage 15 percentage and 20 % each for the the first, second and last two module. Internal evaluation will be there for the two series test including minimum two assignments, for each subjects. And for the lab subjects there will be Viva in every lab periods and the record will also be considered for the marks.

Almost 70% of the students who were passed get placed in various companies. Some students get more than 1 placements. Many companies are providing internships for our college students, and many students are selected for this every year. After that they are getting placed in the coming years. Previous year (2018-2019) about 10 students got paid internship in Nissan company. And the students who are getting e grantz scholarship are getting stipend in every month.

Disha- It is the department wise cultural fest conducted for first years Drishti-it is the tech fest conducting every year having 3 day programmes. Dhwani-it is the colourful cultural fest CET, very famous in Kerala. It also longs for 3 days. Sargam-the year wise cultural fest conducted in CET. Pantheon, Tesla,etc.- Are the tech fest conducted for different departments every year. Pantheon is for civil engineering students. And Tesla is for electrical engineering students. Similarly every department have their on techfest.

The main attraction of the college is the fee structure of CET even though it is the best college in Kerala under KTU. The overall fees structure is about 40000-50000 per year. But majority of the students get this amount by various scholarships.

Kerala government provides egrants scholarship, Post-metric scholarship and MCM scholarship for the students who have less annual income. And MCM scholarship for minority students. Central government provides Central sector scholarship and pm scholarship for the eligible students. Some private companies are also providing scholarships in CET. Siemens scholarship, FFE scholarship and MEA scholarship are coming under this. CET Alumni Association is providing scholarships like GEMS and HOPE PLUS. And many more scholarships like NSF scholarship etc. Are also available for the eligible students.

CET have different lab facilities for civil, mechanical, electronics, electrical, computer science engineering students. And they are with all the instruments and facilities required for the students. The racing car making club in CET is one of the best in India.

9 out of 10. Because the hostel is providing the best food in Trivandrum region. And the mess bill and rent for this hostel is very less. The overall rating near to 3000 or below 3000 in a month (varies according to food and extras). The hostel is with gym facility, and also a small football ground, volleyball court, basketball court, shuttle court are also available.

The alumni network of the college CET is very strong and they are showing best commitment to the society and the government. CETAA GALAXY CHARITABLE TRUST (CGCT) is doing very well in the field of social activities. They are providing financial support and empowerment program for hundreds of students over Kerala. CET students have shown their own role in in the field of science, social, design etc.

The students get admission in the colleges under APJ Abdul Kalam technological University (KTU) after writing the KEAM entrance examination. And CET is number one college under KTU. I got admission in civil engineering by getting rank of 1079 in KEAM examination. FOR GENERAL AND OBC STUDENTS THEY HAVE TO GET BELOW 2000 RANK FOR GETTING ADMISSION IN CET. And for better departments better rank is required. If his or her rank is below 500 he or she will get admission in computer science department. North Indian students can also study in this college, by getting about a particular mark in JEE. Some percentage of reservation are available for North Indian students. And they are getting full amount of expenditure by scholarships.

Most of the faculties in CET are well experienced. About hundreds of faculties are there for different departments. Some faculties are are very active in research also. For every class there are to staff advicors who will be having a correct idea about the students in their class. Faculties are also using the Power Point representation.
