Remarks
It is an excellent college to join. Only the cream of people will be able to join as the cutoff is one of the highest in Karnataka. the peer group is very nice and hence they will be encouraged to study.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is excellent. 3 internals followed by University exams per year. Internals consist of theory+practicals (40+40=80 marks) Externals consist of two 100 marks theory papers per subject, followed by practicals.
Placement Experience
Placements and job opportunities are very good. internship is provided in Victoria hospital and bowring and Lady Curzon hospital. Internship is compulsory and is done for one year after the course of MBBS. Stipend is 20000
College Events
Two fests cobalt skies and chrysalis. Cobalt skies is an inter college fest which is done for one week and many engineering and medical colleges participate. Chrysalis is an inter college fest having many events. Many other events like kannada habba is done.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees per year is rupees 50000. This applies for first third and fourth year. Whereas for second year the fees is 81000 as it is one and half years. This is the standard government fees throughout India.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are many scholarship facilities. It depends on the caste also. SC/ST students have more opportunity to get scholarship. The seniors will mention about this when we join the college in first year.
Campus Life
There are a lot of extra curricular activities. Especially in third term there is a premier league conducted where many sports are held among our batchmates. Also sports are held during Cobalt skies and Chrysalis. Labs have good equipments.
Alumni/Alumna
Most of the alumni of BMC are great doctors now. some of them are in India and rest has scattered through the world. But they will be visiting BMC to guide us sometimes. Seniors are very helpful. The lend us books, tell us how to write answers and answer Viva.
Admission
Through NEET UG exam. Score was 603. All India rank of 1374. Karnataka State rank of 22. Got into the college in the first round of state counseling. Admission required various documents like 10 marks card, 12 marks card, bonds, etc
Faculty
All the departments are excellent. Classes are conducted regularly. Hardly any classes are cancelled Syllabus is completed on time. The faculty is approachable in case anyone has any doubt. They are very knowledgeable.
