RGGEC Kangra

College is in its early days. It will get better day by day. It is located in a really peaceful location surrounded by the Dhauladhar hills but yes it is located in a remote location, 4 km in from the main city (Nagrota Bagwan). The campus is really clean and beautiful. All the facilities like WiFi, Medical, Security, Parking ect are given to every student. But the negative thing about RGGEC Kangra is that there is no computer centre available at this time, there is no proper transportation facility available. I hope our college will overcome these negative things very soon.

Civil Engineering Curriculum of HPTU is really impressive and wide covering almost every aspect of Civil Engineering, but it will be great if there are some Industrial visits are there in Curriculum. End semester exams are conducted by HPTU and two Sessional exams are conducted by college itself in a single semester. The final result is based on our performance in sessionals, assignments, quiz, attendance and end semester.

Though the college is in its early days still we are having some placements here. This year also 8 Students of my Batch got placed in Pie Solutions. Yes, our college provides internships. Internship is really an important and interesting part of every student's life. Yes we learnt and enjoyed a lot during our internship. Stipend was provided by TEQIP-III but our Director refuses to provide the stipend to those students who took internships in their home district. Therefore only those students got the internship who went outside their Home District for Internship.

The list of the events celebrated in my college is as 1. TECHSHILA (Annual Function) 2. CES Event (Civil Engineering Society Cvent) 3. Teachers and Engineers Day 4. Sports Meet In the future aspect there will be more events in the college.

The fee structure of HPTU is somewhat feasible to most of the students. Boys are giving around 30K per semester and Girls are giving around 15K per semester as fee. There is also a TFW scheme where a boy belonging to poor family is also subjected to a fee equal to 15K per semester.

Yes there are so many scholarship programs are conducted by Himachal Pradesh Technical University and our college. Any student who belongs to a poor family gets the scholarship. There are other many scholarships as well which i can't recall at this moment since I've not participated in any scholarship.

The college life without extracurricular activities is incomplete. Therefore we are having NSS, Sports, Games etc as extracurricular activities. Labs of RGGEC Kangra are really well furnished and equipped. Though some of the required instruments are still not present in college. There is no sports ground available in college. We are managing Badminton, Futsal, Gully Cricket, Volleyball in the campus space.

Alumni and Senior Students both are always a good partner to the Junior Students. Seniors are always ready to help their juniors therefore there is a mutual harmony among two which is reducing the violence in the college.

After my 12th i gave an Entrance exam called HPCET, i secured good marks in that exam. After my entrance test result i went to HPTU for the counselling procedure where i got RGGEC Kangra. After that i took admission here.

The college is opened around 4 years back therefore the faculty is young and energetic. They are really helpful and knowledgeable. They are providing us a good and compatible technical education. They are always ready to help us in any matter.
