Remarks

College is not so good. Academically it is not a good college as compared to other colleges as I think. But yeah better than many many and many more. Infrastructure is good. Hostels are old but get painted.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum consists of computer science subjects along with electronics, personality development, physics and material science, mathematics and also bio(for Bio Informatics and Bio Technology). Three tests, Test 1,2 and 3 namely are taken up of 15, 25 and 35 marks respectively and 25 marks for assignment, attendance, class quiz and performance.

Placement Experience

Placements and job opportunities are good. Google Inc also comes to this college to recruit the students. The Training and Placement Cell's members are too good and helping in nature. Our college doesn't provide internship.

College Events

We have Parakram which is held in October as the college's sports fest. Also Murious who h is the technical fest. And the college fest which is held in April. Goonj and dhun, the music fests. Alumni meet which is rarely organized. No convocation.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is expensive. They charge 97000 and 51000 for the academics and the hostel respectively which we find expensive as compared to other engineering colleges in India. This fee is also getting increased every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship facilities or load facilities are provided by Jaypee University of Information Technology. The reason for this is still unknown to all the students studying right now in this college. Unfortunately, we didn't get any facilities like this.

Campus Life

Yes, we have labs for computer science, electronics, civil, bio and information technology. We also have MSc in BT branch in our college so they are also provided with labs. Sports? Haha. Only a small basketball court. That's all.

Hostel Facilities

I used to live in the hostel but I have left the hostel.and started living in PG because hostel is not so good as tou get bored eating same food every week in the mess and you face restrictions not to go out in the night.

Alumni/Alumna

Almni meets are rare in our college. If they come they are not provided proper time to get interacted with the students studying in the college. No contact numbers are provided to the students by the college so that we can contact the alumni

Admission

Through JEE MAINS rank I was able to make it up to this college's admission. Also, they asked for 12th standard's percentage and 10th standard's CGPA. I got 158362 rank in JEE MAINS in the year 2017 which was sufficient.

Faculty

The faculty is not so good. They just deliver the lectures and go back. Some faculty members like the HOD of Physics and Material Science department take the latest Apple iPhone in the market as a bribe in exchange for passing the students.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

I applied for Chitkara, Cu, Du, HPU, SRM etc and the main reason I choose this college is because of the studies, placement and location. The study culuter in this unversity is very good as compared to other university . The student Teacher ratio not very large as compared to the other university which give every students a chance to stand out and get better results . I got acceptance from cu , du and 2 or 3 other colleges. Yes i also got rejections from colleges like SRM , VIT for not scoring a good percentile in jee and the fees and cost of living there i svery high as compare to JUIT . The admission process is very easy students can apply on the basis of their boards marks or on the basis of their JEE exams as well . After that students can attend the counselling sessions where they can vbisit the college get to know about the college . the admission staff is very helpful and they guide the students and family step by step throught out the whole process....Read More

JUIT- beautiful place

I applied in thapar, jiit, juit and Manipal. I got admission in all of them but I chose juit. I didn't go to jiit because my parents thought that environment of juit would be better. Also they were a bit hesitant to me living in Delhi for my graduation as people are very young during graduation. Didn't choose manipal as juit was better in every aspect other than placements. I had got admission in Jaypee noida but in 128 sector and also stream was IT which I didn't preferred so I left that.
