Remarks
Overall the College is good. But the only problem is it is located in small city like Karad. So it becomes difficult to get extra classes and extracurricular activities by own. The quality of college is otherwise good
Course Curriculum Overview
The Curriculum is up to date. The college is Autonomous so college updates its syllabus on regular basis. The exam structure is also good with 50 marks for practical, 60 marks for semester exam,15 marks each for 2 unit test exams. And 10 marks are given on the basis of daily life performance of student. i.e. Total 150 marks for each subject.
Placement Experience
The placement is good in IT,, Mechanical and EnTC branch. There are various companies visiting our college for campus interview. The package they offer varies between 2.4 lakh to 7 lakh per anum. College provides internship by giving reference letter of college to various companies. The stipend varies between 3 thousand to 9 thousands per month for internship.
College Events
These are some of the events celebrated in our college 1)Aaviskar 2)Science Exhibition 3)voice 4) Clubs like Dias, Roboclub 5) Baja, Tifan events for mechanical engineering students. Aavishkar is a national level Technical programme held by our college in the month of February.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is actually feasible to some extent. Because our college is autonomous and private autonomous colleges asks fees of whooping 1.2 lakh+ per year where our our college asks for just 85 thousands. Other benefits like cast benefits in fee structure are also given to students.
Fees and Financial Aid
All the scholarship offered by state Government of Maharashtra are applicable in our college. Cast benefits in fee structure is also provided. Any national bank offers you loan for educational fee purpose.
Campus Life
Aavishkar is the main extracurricular event. All the labs of each department are very good with all equipment in working condition. College arrange annual sports day on our college ground in the month of February
Hostel Facilities
You can opt for hostel. The hostel is good enough for basic and medium class students. It offers all the basic facilities which are needed for students with 24 hour wifi facility all around the hostel wifi. The security of hostel is good.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni is quite helpful. Alumni members used to come in our college on regular basis. They guide us on various topics needed for further life. Senior students are also good. They help us in various difficulties
Admission
The only way to get admission in Govt. College of Engineering Karad is MH CET(PCM). Anyone can get admission with qualification of 10+2 with good marks in MH CET.There will be CAP round / merit list for intake of students
Faculty
The faculty is good. All the faculty members are experienced. Some of the faculty having PhD too. Knowledge and experience of faculty is really helpful for students. Faculty members guide all students on regular basis. They arrange extra lecture, visits, seminars on regular basis.
